Back Construction Changes Fit, Movement and Strap Behavior
Back design is not only a styling choice. Strap direction, back coverage, arm movement, dressing ease and structural balance can all change with the selected configuration. Back design therefore needs to be reviewed together with the full bra fit.

Racerback
Racerback structures bring the straps toward the center back and can change shoulder and back load distribution. Neckline, armhole, strap length, underband and material recovery still determine whether the finished bra remains balanced during movement.

Cross-Back
Cross-back structures introduce strap intersection and angle. The design needs to control strap length and symmetry while avoiding unnecessary twisting, excessive shoulder pressure or movement between crossed components.

Open Back

Select Pad Construction Around Coverage, Stability and Product Use
Pads can change shape, modesty, coverage and product experience, but they do not independently establish support. Pad design should remain connected to pocket construction, bra dimensions, material, movement and the approved product fit.

Removable Pads
Removable pads allow the end user to remove or reposition the insert. Development needs to define pad shape, thickness, pocket size and opening location so the pad can be inserted while remaining reasonably positioned during wear and washing.

Fixed Pad Direction

MOVEVOX supports sports bras including racerback, cross-back, wide-strap, thin-strap, adjustable-strap, longline and relevant pad or layered structures. Sports bras can be developed through Seamless or Cut & Sew manufacturing depending on construction, materials and product requirements.
Can MOVEVOX produce both Seamless and Cut & Sew sports bras?
Yes. MOVEVOX’s owned core production base includes 28 Italian Santoni Seamless knitting machines and approximately 24 principal sewing and garment-production machines. Seamless is suited to relevant engineered-knit structures, while Cut & Sew offers greater freedom for straps, elastic, binding, pattern pieces, layers and components.
How should a sports bra support level be defined?
Support should be evaluated through the complete product system, including underband, straps, coverage, back construction, material, pad or cup structure, fit and intended activity. MOVEVOX does not treat one component or fiber percentage as proof of support. Quantified support claims require the applicable project-specific validation.
Can MOVEVOX develop racerback and cross-back sports bras?
Yes. Racerback and cross-back structures can be developed subject to the product specification. Strap angle, length, attachment, back width, arm movement, underband and material recovery need to be reviewed together so the selected back design remains technically balanced.
What pad options are available?
Sports bra projects can use removable pads, fixed-pad directions, pad-pocket structures or no-pad layered constructions depending on the product. Pad shape, thickness, pocket dimensions, opening position, symmetry and movement need to correspond to the approved bra rather than being selected independently.
How does MOVEVOX control sports bra fit?
Fit control connects bust, underbust, coverage, straps, armholes, back structure, pad position, material recovery and intended movement. Development can include measurement review, Fit Samples, revisions and Size Set or PP approval where applicable before bulk production follows the approved specification.
Can MOVEVOX develop extended-size sports bras?
Yes, subject to project requirements. Extended sizing should not simply scale the base size mechanically. Bust capacity, underband, straps, side coverage, pad dimensions, material behavior and movement may require additional review across risk sizes before the full range is approved.
What is the typical MOQ for custom sports bras?
Typical Seamless custom-development MOQ starts around 100 pieces per style, while Cut & Sew generally starts around 150 pieces per style. Effective MOQ can increase because of custom materials, colors, pads, hardware, logo processes, labels or packaging.
How long does sports bra sample development usually take?
A typical development sample takes approximately 5–10 working days after required project details are confirmed. This is not a guaranteed complete approval cycle. Materials, construction complexity, branding, revisions, buyer feedback and international courier time can extend the total development schedule.
How is the approved sports bra transferred into bulk?
The approved sample remains linked to the current technical specification, measurements, material, components, branding and relevant production requirements. Bulk should follow the released approved version together with applicable PO, commercial, material and quality conditions rather than an earlier development sample.
