CUSTOM ACTIVEWEAR LABELS

Custom Activewear Labels From Approved Artwork to Controlled Bulk Application

MOVEVOX supports custom label execution for activewear across both Seamless and Cut & Sew manufacturing programs. Brand projects can include main labels, care labels, size labels, woven labels, hangtags and other buyer-approved branding information required for the garment and packing process.

Label execution is managed as part of the product program rather than as an isolated accessory purchase. Artwork, content, size mapping, placement and approved versions are connected to the relevant style, SKU and production requirement before bulk application.

For multi-style or repeat-order programs, this control becomes especially important. A correct garment with the wrong label version, size or packing data can still create a serious commercial problem.

LABEL PROCUREMENT RISK

A Small Label Error Can Become a Large Production or Retail Problem

Labels are physically small components, but they can carry brand identity, care information, size data and SKU-related information. A label therefore needs to be controlled as part of the production specification rather than added as an unchecked final-stage accessory.

Activewear label version size and SKU error prevention

Correct Garment, Wrong Label Version

A garment may meet the approved construction and measurement requirements while still being incorrect if an obsolete or unapproved label version is applied.

Correct Label, Wrong Size

A correct main or care label does not prevent a packing error if the wrong size label is attached to the garment.

Correct Size, Wrong SKU Mapping

For multi-color and multi-size programs, the garment, size label and buyer-supplied SKU or barcode information need to remain aligned through packing.

Repeat Orders Create Version Risk

Repeat production needs a released version reference rather than relying on an old file retained from the previous order.

Approved Version → Correct Style → Correct Size → Correct SKU → Correct Packing
BRAND LABEL SET

Manage Main, Care and Size Labels as One Brand Label Set

A mature activewear program normally requires more than one label. MOVEVOX can coordinate the different label elements against the same garment style and approved project information.

Custom activewear main label

Main Label

Carries the primary brand identity and is developed against the buyer-approved artwork, finished size and garment placement.

Custom activewear care label

Care Label

Carries buyer-approved product information such as composition, care instructions, origin and required project content.

Custom activewear size label

Size Label

Identifies the approved garment size and should remain consistent with the relevant style, size set and SKU structure.

Supporting woven brand label on activewear

Supporting Brand Labels

Suitable side labels, hem labels and small woven brand trims can be developed where the garment construction allows.

One Approval Chain

Artwork → Label Type → Garment Style → Size / SKU → Physical Approval → Bulk Application

WOVEN LABEL BRANDING

Woven Labels Need the Right Size, Fold, Handfeel and Garment Position

A woven label is not only a small reproduction of the brand logo. Its finished result depends on artwork detail, thread structure, label size, edge treatment, fold construction and garment application.

Finished Size Matters

Very small labels can reduce readability or make fine brand detail difficult to reproduce.

Fold Type Changes the Application

Depending on the project, label structures may include suitable straight-cut, center-fold or end-fold directions.

Skin-Contact Comfort Needs Review

For close-to-skin products, edge stiffness, fold thickness and sewing position should be considered together with branding appearance.

Approval Flow

Artwork → Thread / Color Direction → Finished Size → Fold Type → Placement → Physical Sample → Readability / Handfeel → Sewing → Approval

CARE LABEL CONTENT & APPROVAL

Execute Care Labels From Buyer-Approved Content, Not Assumptions

Care labels can contain product and market-specific information, so MOVEVOX treats the buyer-approved file as the controlling reference rather than independently deciding legal wording for a destination market.

Buyer approved activewear care label artwork and garment application

Information That May Be Included

Fiber composition
Care instructions or symbols
Country of origin
Required language
Style-related information
Buyer-supplied company or importer information
Other approved product data

Buyer Approval Comes Before Production

The buyer is responsible for confirming the applicable legal content, language and target-market requirements. MOVEVOX executes the approved information through the selected label route.

Version Control Is Required

Where care information changes between orders, the new released file should replace the previous production version before bulk use.

Buyer / Market Requirement → Approved Text → Label Layout → Production File → Physical Label → Garment → Bulk Verification
SIZE LABEL & SIZE MAPPING

Keep the Garment Size, Size Label and SKU Mapping Connected

For a multi-size program, a Size Label is one part of a larger mapping system that needs to remain consistent from garment production through final packing.

01 — GARMENT SIZE

Start from the approved buyer size system.

02 — SIZE LABEL

Apply the correct approved size identification.

03 — BUYER SKU

Map the size to the relevant style, color and buyer SKU.

04 — PACKING LABEL

Keep Polybag or packing identification aligned with the garment.

05 — CARTON

Reconcile the size and SKU breakdown before shipment.

Activewear size label and SKU mapping control

Start With the Buyer’s Size System

MOVEVOX can work with the size structure defined for the project, including standard size sets or buyer-defined sizing systems.

Control Garment Placement

The Size Label should be applied in the approved position and orientation for the garment.

Connect the Packing Data

Where buyer-supplied SKU or packing labels are used, the same mapping needs to remain consistent through Polybag and Carton stages.

HANGTAG EXECUTION

Treat the Hangtag as Both Brand Presentation and Retail Information

A Hangtag may carry visual branding, product information and buyer-supplied SKU or retail data. Its execution therefore needs to connect the approved design with the correct garment and packing requirement.

01

Artwork & Content

Review the buyer-approved front, back and variable information.

02

Physical Specification

Confirm size, paper direction, printing, hole and attachment requirements.

03

Variable Data

Confirm buyer-provided SKU, barcode or style information before printing.

04

Proof Review

Review the digital proof and physical sample where required.

05

Production Version

The released artwork and variable-data version become the reference.

06

Garment Attachment

Keep the Hangtag linked to the correct product, color, size or SKU.

07

Packing Verification

Check Hangtag presence, version and relevant data during packing.

BARCODE & SKU LABEL

Connect Buyer-Supplied SKU Data to the Correct Product and Packing Unit

Machine-readable or SKU-related labels can create major fulfillment errors if the data is correct but mapped to the wrong style, color or size.

Activewear SKU barcode label and packing verification
01

Product Mapping

Start from the approved Style, Color, Size and Buyer SKU.

02

Buyer-Approved Data

Commercial SKU or platform data should come from the buyer's confirmed system or file.

03

Human-Readable Information

Check visible numbers and text against the supplied source.

04

Readability Where Applicable

Machine-readable verification can be incorporated where relevant to the project.

05

Placement

Apply the approved label or sticker to the agreed garment or packing location.

06

Packing Reconciliation

Correct Data → Correct Style → Correct Color → Correct Size → Correct Packing Unit.

LABEL MOQ & SUPPLIER MINIMUMS

Custom Label MOQ Does Not Always Equal the Garment MOQ

The garment order quantity and the label supplier minimum are related but not necessarily identical. A standard label route may be practical at the garment-production quantity, while a dedicated custom trim can create its own supplier requirement.

Requirement Commercial Logic
Garment MOQ Determined by the garment manufacturing route and project structure.
Standard Label Route Can often be evaluated together with the garment quantity where the specification and supplier conditions allow.
Dedicated Woven or Custom Trim Separate supplier minimum may apply depending on structure, size, colors and specification.
Specialty Hangtag Special material, finishing or construction may create a separate supplier requirement.
Buyer-Exclusive Accessory MOQ, tooling or excess quantity should be reviewed before approval.

Do Not Assume Every Branding Component Shares One MOQ

MOVEVOX's baseline garment MOQ is approximately 100 pcs / style for Seamless and 150 pcs / style for Cut & Sew.

These garment baselines do not automatically mean every custom label, Hangtag or buyer-exclusive component can be produced at the same quantity.

Review the Supplier Route Early

Where a dedicated trim or supplier minimum applies, it is better to identify this before final sample approval so the buyer can evaluate quantity, cost and repeat-order planning.

Buyer-Specific Materials Stay Buyer-Specific

Any remaining customer-specific label or branding material should remain associated with that buyer's project and be handled according to the agreed arrangement.

LABEL INSPECTION & VERSION CONTROL

Only the Current Released Label Version Should Enter Bulk Production

Label inspection needs to confirm more than whether a label is physically present. Content, size, language, placement and released version all need to match the approved project reference.

CURRENT RELEASED VERSION Current approved activewear label version

Production should use the current buyer-approved artwork, content, size and applicable revision.

OBSOLETE / HOLD Obsolete activewear label version held from production

Old, incorrect or mismatched versions should be segregated for review rather than mixed into released bulk goods.

01

Brand & Artwork

Confirm the correct brand name and approved visual version.

02

Content

Check the required information against the released file.

03

Size / Language / Origin

Verify the relevant approved product information.

04

Position & Direction

Check location and orientation against the garment reference.

05

Sewing / Attachment

Review attachment workmanship and visible distortion.

06

Released Version

Confirm the production floor is using the current approved version.

Buyer-approved files, QC manuals, Tech Packs and project-specific requirements take priority where provided.

LABEL-TO-PACKING RECONCILIATION

Reconcile the Label, SKU and Packing Information Before Shipment

A garment can have the correct sewn-in labels and still create a fulfillment problem if the Hangtag, Polybag sticker or Carton information is mapped incorrectly.

Finished activewear garment 01 — GARMENT

Confirm Style, Color and Size.

Activewear size label 02 — SIZE LABEL

Confirm the correct garment size reference.

Activewear hangtag 03 — HANGTAG

Confirm the approved product version.

Activewear SKU barcode identification 04 — SKU / BARCODE

Verify buyer-supplied data.

Activewear polybag identification sticker 05 — POLYBAG

Match the packing identification to the garment.

Activewear carton label and packing breakdown 06 — CARTON

Verify quantity and size / SKU breakdown.

Garment → Size Label → Hangtag → SKU / Barcode → Polybag → Carton

The objective is not simply that each component is individually correct, but that they all refer to the same product.

FULL PRIVATE LABEL SYSTEM

Connect Labels With the Rest of the Brand Execution Program

Custom Labels are only one part of a complete branded activewear program. When the project also includes color, Logo execution, SKU information and packaging, these elements need to remain connected to the same approved style and production reference.

CUSTOM LABELS FAQ

Custom Activewear Labels FAQ

What types of activewear labels does MOVEVOX support?

MOVEVOX supports buyer-approved Main Labels, Care Labels, Size Labels, Woven Labels and Hangtags as part of activewear manufacturing and private label programs. Additional label or trim requirements can be evaluated according to the project.

Can MOVEVOX make woven main labels?

Yes. Woven labels can be developed for suitable Main Label, side-label or other brand applications. Finished size, fold structure, artwork detail, handfeel and garment placement should be reviewed before approval.

Can MOVEVOX support printed or tagless-style label directions?

Suitable printed or heat-applied label directions can be evaluated depending on the garment material, placement and approved buyer specification.

The final route should be reviewed against the actual garment rather than assumed to work for every fabric.

What information can be included on a care label?

Depending on the buyer-approved file, a Care Label can include composition, care instructions, country of origin, language and other required product or buyer information.

Who confirms the legal content of the care label?

The buyer should confirm the applicable legal content, target-market requirement and final approved wording. MOVEVOX executes the approved production file and checks the label against that reference.

Can care labels use different languages?

Yes, buyer-approved multilingual label content can be executed where required by the project. The buyer should confirm which languages and legal wording are needed.

Can size labels follow our own sizing system?

Yes. MOVEVOX can work with the buyer-defined size system for the project and map the Size Label to the approved style and size structure.

How do you reduce wrong-size label errors?

The Size Label should remain linked to the approved style, garment size and related SKU or packing information. Production and packing checks can then compare the garment against the same mapping reference.

Can MOVEVOX produce custom Hangtags?

MOVEVOX can support custom Hangtag execution based on buyer-approved artwork and specifications. Special materials, finishes or structures should be confirmed against the actual supplier route.

Can buyer-supplied SKU or barcode information be added?

Yes, buyer-supplied and approved SKU or barcode information can be incorporated where required by the project. The commercial product data should come from the buyer's confirmed system or file rather than being independently invented by the factory.

Can MOVEVOX support machine-readable label verification?

Where relevant to the approved project, machine-readable or scan verification can be incorporated into the control process where appropriate. The exact requirement should be confirmed for the buyer's system.

Do custom labels have their own MOQ?

Sometimes. Standard label directions can often be evaluated together with the garment quantity, while custom woven structures, specialty Hangtags or buyer-exclusive trims may have their own supplier minimums.

How are old label versions controlled?

The current buyer-approved released version should be used as the production reference. Obsolete or incorrect versions identified during production should be segregated for review rather than mixed into released bulk goods.

Can labels be coordinated with Polybag and Carton information?

Yes. Where the project requires SKU-based packing, the garment, Size Label, Hangtag, buyer-supplied SKU information, Polybag identification and Carton breakdown can be reconciled against the approved packing structure.

Can MOVEVOX manage Logo, Labels and Packaging together?

Yes. MOVEVOX can manage Logo execution, labels, Hangtags and custom packaging within a broader activewear private label program.
