Who This ODM Partnership Is Designed For

MOVEVOX is most relevant to buyers managing ongoing yoga or activewear development, structured sampling, private-label execution and repeat production rather than one-off stock purchasing.

Established Yoga Brands

Established yoga and activewear brands usually arrive with defined brand standards, existing products and clear expectations for fit, fabric, branding and quality. Some styles may have complete Tech Packs while other products still need manufacturing translation. MOVEVOX can work from both mature specifications and development-led briefs, then coordinate samples, approvals, private-label details, production and quality control through one project system.

  • Manage existing styles while developing new products in parallel.
  • Maintain approved fit, materials and branding across repeat programs.
  • Use seamless or cut-and-sew according to product structure.
  • Scale confirmed products without rebuilding the supplier relationship.

Supplier Key Takeaways

  • Verifiable supplier identity: MOVEVOX is operated by Yiwu Chenjin Import And Export Co., Ltd., with its business and manufacturing base in Yiwu, Zhejiang, China. Verify the factory.
  • Two manufacturing systems: the own manufacturing structure includes 28 Italian Santoni seamless machines plus approximately 24 principal cut-and-sew garment-production machines. Compare the routes.
  • Development before bulk: an approximately eight-person development structure supports design, pattern and sample functions, with standard samples normally developed in about 5–10 working days after details are confirmed. Review development.
  • Commercial entry is project-dependent: base custom references are about 100 pieces for seamless styles and 150 pieces for cut-and-sew styles, subject to materials, colors and components. Review MOQ.
  • Quality has a defined owner: five QC personnel support material, first-article, in-line, finished-garment, branding, packaging and pre-shipment controls. Review QC.
  • Scale is managed, not theoretical: current stable managed delivery capacity is approximately 150,000–200,000 pieces per month across own and controlled satellite production resources. Review capacity.

Supplier Risks to Check Before Development Starts

An ODM supplier should be evaluated by how it controls product information, production sites, materials, sample approval, quality and scale-up before the buyer commits development resources.

1

Vague ODM Scope

A supplier may advertise ODM without defining what happens between a concept and an approved production specification. This creates uncertainty around material, fit, construction, revisions and buyer approval boundaries.

Verify: Ask for the development path, sample types, approval points and responsibility boundaries before releasing a commercial project.

2

Sample-to-Bulk Disconnect

A strong sample does not automatically prove stable bulk execution. Risk rises when final samples, materials, dimensions, workmanship or packaging standards are not formally transferred into production control.

Verify: Check how Approved Samples, specifications, first articles and in-line inspections are linked before bulk release.

3

Hidden Site Changes

Unexpected production-site changes can create quality, compliance and accountability problems, particularly when a buyer has audited or approved a specific facility or manufacturing route.

Verify: Ask who assigns production sites and how a facility change is authorized for your program.

4

Unapproved Material Changes

Replacing fabric, yarn, trims, labels or other components without approval can change color, handfeel, fit and commercial consistency across the program.

Verify: Confirm key materials are centrally controlled and substitutions require review against the approved standard.

5

Undefined Capacity

Machine totals alone do not tell a buyer how much quality-released product can be delivered. Style complexity, materials, SKU mix, QC and current loading affect availability.

Verify: Request a project-specific capacity check and ask whether published numbers are theoretical or stable managed capacity.

6

No Final Release

If production is considered complete when garments leave knitting or sewing, defects can move directly into packing. Mature programs require hold, rework and reinspection authority.

Verify: Review material, first-article, in-line, finished-garment, packaging and pre-shipment controls before supplier approval.

How Product Direction Becomes a Bulk Standard

ODM development is controlled manufacturing translation. MOVEVOX moves from buyer input through technical review, materials, engineering, samples, approval and production release rather than sending assumptions directly to bulk.

1

Project Brief

The buyer provides product direction, category, quantity, branding requirements and available references. MOVEVOX identifies the development starting point and missing information that must be clarified.

Development Brief Project based

2

Tech Review

The team reviews measurements, construction, materials, branding and open technical points before pattern development, seamless programming or sample production begins.

Review Notes Project based

3

Material

Fabric, yarn, composition, GSM, handfeel, color and purchasing constraints are reviewed against the product requirement and buyer approval process.

Material Direction Supplier based

4

Pattern / Program

Cut-and-sew styles move through pattern and construction preparation; seamless styles require suitable knitting structure and Santoni program execution.

Technical Version Style based

5

Sample

After required details are confirmed, the defined physical sample is built. Standard sample development normally takes approximately five to ten working days.

Physical Sample 5–10 days

6

Fit Revision

The buyer reviews fit, measurements, material, workmanship and product intent. Requested changes are documented before a revised version is produced.

Revision Record Feedback based

7

Approval

Approved dimensions, material, color, construction, branding and relevant packaging requirements are locked into the applicable production reference.

Approved Standard Buyer based

8

Bulk Release

Production begins from the approved specification and sample reference, followed by first-article and process quality controls.

Production Standard Order based

For a broader view, see the MOVEVOX Product Development page.

Prepare the Inputs That Make Development Faster

More complete input usually reduces assumptions and revision cycles, but an incomplete starting point can still enter development when the buyer is ready to clarify product, fit, material and commercial decisions.

Useful

Flat Sketch

A flat sketch clarifies silhouette, panels, openings and visible product details. If unavailable, a product image or written concept can still begin review, but hidden construction must be defined later.

Useful

Measurement Chart

A measurement chart reduces assumptions around fit and size. When incomplete, MOVEVOX can identify missing points, but the buyer still approves the final measurement standard.

Useful

Fabric Direction

Provide composition, GSM, handfeel or a physical reference when available. MOVEVOX can source options, but the final material must be approved before bulk.

Useful

Color Standard

Pantone references, physical color standards or approved available colors help align development. Custom-color requirements can affect material MOQ and lead time.

Required if branded

Artwork

Logo artwork, print files or branding direction should be supplied in usable form so process, size and placement can be confirmed before production.

Required if branded

Label Details

Main label, care label, size label and wording requirements should be reviewed early because label suppliers can have independent MOQ and lead-time conditions.

Useful

Packaging

Define hangtags, barcodes, polybags, stickers and carton requirements where relevant. Packing information is controlled order data, not a last-minute accessory.

Optional early

Testing Needs

Buyer RSL, target-market tests or nominated laboratory requirements should be identified before material approval when compliance could change the product route.

Required

Target Quantity

Quantity affects material purchasing, production route, MOQ feasibility and capacity allocation. A useful review needs an estimated order size rather than only a style photo.

Useful

Launch Timing

A target launch or requested ship window helps sequence material, sampling, approval and production planning without converting an early estimate into an unsupported promise.

If your files are incomplete, MOVEVOX can identify the missing decisions during technical review. The customer remains responsible for brand direction and final product approval.

What Happens During a Yoga Wear Technical Review?

MOVEVOX reviews the buyer's current product information before sampling to identify manufacturability questions, define the production route, clarify material and fit requirements, confirm branding scope and establish which decisions must be approved before a sample can become a controlled production standard.

Manufacturing Route

Seamless development depends on yarn, knitting structure, program version and finishing; cut-and-sew development depends on fabric, pattern, cutting and garment construction.

Material and Fit

Composition, GSM, handfeel, color and stretch are connected to the intended fit, pattern or seamless structure rather than reviewed as isolated purchasing items.

Construction Detail

Open technical questions are clarified before they become sample revisions or uncontrolled bulk decisions, including seams, panels, elastic components and relevant finishing.

Branding Scope

Logo, labels, hangtags and packaging are reviewed early because they can introduce separate tooling, MOQ, artwork and supplier lead-time requirements.

Approval Boundary

Each sample should have a defined objective. Approval of fit, for example, does not automatically approve final color, every size, packaging or production workmanship.

Anonymized activewear Tech Pack pattern and sample information under MOVEVOX technical review

Why it matters: production should manufacture from a controlled and approved version, not from assumptions accumulated across messages, samples and verbal changes.

Select Materials Around the Product Requirement

Material selection should begin with the product and manufacturing route. MOVEVOX reviews composition, GSM, handfeel, stretch, color, construction compatibility, purchasing conditions and buyer approval.

Fit Requirements Change With Intended Product Use

The same activewear pattern should not be mechanically applied to every activity. Fit decisions connect intended movement, product structure, material, support requirements and physical sample approval.

Activity / UseDevelopment FocusTypical Review AreasValidation Direction
Yoga / PilatesMovement, comfort and position stability.Waistband, rise, crotch, straps, stretch and length.Fit Sample, movement review and measurement confirmation.
Gym / TrainingRepeated stretch, support and structural stability.Waist, seams, bra support, material behavior and reinforcement.Sample review, measurements and workmanship checks.
Running-OrientedContinuous movement, friction and garment movement.Fit, pocket position, length, seams and product stability.Product-specific sample and movement evaluation.

These are development considerations, not universal sport rules. Brand positioning, intended consumer, product design and buyer specification remain the controlling inputs.

Choose Seamless or Cut-and-Sew by Product Structure

MOVEVOX operates both manufacturing systems. The correct route is determined by how the product should be engineered rather than treating the two methods as interchangeable production options.

Seamless Manufacturing Starts With Yarn and Knitting Structure

Engineering basis: Seamless activewear is developed around yarn, Santoni knitting programs, structure, density, texture, stretch, size and later finishing requirements. MOVEVOX operates 28 Italian Santoni seamless machines in its own manufacturing system.

Development control: Structures can include rib, mesh, jacquard, texture and localized support or compression-type zones where technically appropriate. Samples and approved program information establish the production reference before bulk knitting.

Buyer implication: A seamless product should not be treated as a cut-and-sew garment with fewer seams. Yarn and program choices influence fit, appearance and reproducibility.

See our Seamless Activewear capability.

Cut-and-Sew Starts With Fabric, Pattern and Construction

Engineering basis: Cut-and-sew products begin with fabric selection and pattern engineering, followed by cutting, sewing construction, branding, finishing and garment inspection. MOVEVOX's own system includes approximately 24 principal sewing and garment-production machines.

Development control: This route is appropriate where fabric behavior, pattern pieces, seam construction, elastic components, zippers or other assembled structures define the garment. Fit and workmanship are controlled through samples, measurements and production checks.

Buyer implication: Cut-and-sew allows product structures that cannot be reduced to knitted engineering alone, which is why mixed collections often need both manufacturing systems.

Sampling Is a Controlled Product Approval Process

Different sample stages answer different development questions. The exact route depends on project complexity, but every sample should have a defined objective, buyer input, MOVEVOX output and approval scope.

Development Sample

The first executable sample translates the current Tech Pack, reference or development brief into a physical garment and exposes technical questions early.

Buyer inputs
  • Current Tech Pack or brief
  • Material and color direction
MOVEVOX outputs
  • First physical sample
  • Initial open-point notes

Pass criterion: The sample is defined enough to enter structured fit, material and construction review.

Fit Review

Fit review focuses on dimensions, proportion and wearing result rather than assuming that initial appearance equals approval.

Buyer inputs
  • Measurement comments
  • Fit-model requirements
MOVEVOX outputs
  • Fit review findings
  • Defined revision points

Pass criterion: Required fit changes are documented clearly enough for a controlled revised version.

Revised Sample

A revised sample incorporates agreed changes while protecting already accepted elements from unintended modification.

Buyer inputs
  • Consolidated comments
  • Updated material direction
MOVEVOX outputs
  • Revised sample
  • Updated development version

Pass criterion: Requested changes are accepted or remaining open points are explicitly identified.

Size Set

Size Set sampling can verify grading and measurement across selected or full sizes when the project requires broader size control.

Buyer inputs
  • Size chart
  • Grade rules
MOVEVOX outputs
  • Size Set samples
  • Measurement review

Pass criterion: Required sizes meet the approved measurement and fit criteria before production release.

PP Sample

The PP Sample functions as a pre-production reference when required and should reflect applicable final material, construction and branding.

Buyer inputs
  • Final specifications
  • Branding approvals
MOVEVOX outputs
  • PP Sample
  • Production reference

Pass criterion: The buyer or authorized approval process releases the version as the applicable bulk reference.

Carry Approved Standards Into Bulk Production

A good sample creates value only when its approved characteristics are transferred into manufacturing through controlled specifications, physical references, material information, first-article checks and process inspection.

APPROVED STANDARD
Approved sample measurement first-article and inline QC comparison used in MOVEVOX production control
BULK CONTROL

Measurements

Bulk measurements are checked against the applicable approved size specification rather than visual similarity alone.

Material and Color

Confirmed material and color references stay linked to the production order and purchasing requirements.

Fit and Structure

Pattern, seamless program or construction requirements follow the approved product version released to production.

Logo Position

Logo process, artwork, size and placement are checked against buyer-approved execution.

Labels and Trims

Approved labels and other components are verified against the applicable project specification.

Packaging

Packing method, barcode, SKU, hangtag, polybag and carton requirements are checked against final instructions.

MOVEVOX converts the applicable Approved Sample, measurements, material and branding information into production references. First-article, in-line and finished-garment checks are intended to reduce sample-to-bulk drift; they are not an absolute guarantee of zero physical variation.

See the broader Quality & Compliance system.

Build the Full Private Label Product System

Private label is not limited to adding a logo. MOVEVOX coordinates product, material, color, fit, branding, labels, packaging and relevant testing while keeping approvals connected to the product standard.

Product

The project may begin from a buyer Tech Pack, a legal reference sample or a development-led product direction. MOVEVOX supports the technical translation required for the selected garment route and keeps final product approval with the buyer.

MOQ Depends on the Whole Order Structure

MOVEVOX's base garment MOQ is only the first commercial layer. Material sourcing, custom color, logo components, packaging, color allocation and size breakdown can raise the effective project MOQ.

Pilot Order

For workable standard custom programs, the current base reference is approximately 100 pieces per seamless style and approximately 150 pieces per cut-and-sew style. These starting points are not permanent guarantees for every material, color, logo or packaging specification.

Quantity: Seamless ~100 / Cut-and-sew ~150

Drivers: material, colors, sizes, construction, branding.

Scale Program

Repeat and larger programs are reviewed against available capacity rather than an unlimited volume promise. MOVEVOX can combine its own manufacturing core with controlled satellite capacity while delivery commitments remain project-specific.

Quantity: capacity review required

Drivers: forecast, allocation, complexity, timing, QC.

Garment MOQ ≠ Material MOQ ≠ Custom Color MOQ ≠ Logo MOQ ≠ Packaging MOQ. Review the complete order architecture before relying on one headline number.

For related commercial guidance, visit MOQ & Cost Guides.

Develop to Target Cost Without Silent Downgrades

Target cost is useful only when buyer and manufacturer understand which product values must be protected and which cost drivers can be reviewed through controlled trade-offs.

Protect Product

Identify the fit, handfeel, construction, branding or other brand-defining requirements that should not be changed simply to reach a lower quotation.

Define non-negotiable product attributes before cost optimization.

Review Materials

Composition, GSM, handfeel, color and sourcing conditions can materially change cost, MOQ and product performance, so alternatives need buyer review.

Evaluate any material alternative through the sample process.

Simplify Construction

Noncritical construction or decorative elements can sometimes be reviewed, but a change that alters the product must not be made silently.

Document the trade-off before changing the technical version.

Adjust Branding

Logo process, labels and packaging can have separate tooling or MOQ economics that can be optimized when the buyer accepts the visual trade-off.

Confirm revised branding before production release.

Review Quantity

Higher quantity can improve some purchasing or manufacturing economics while increasing inventory commitment, so quantity and target cost should be discussed together.

Compare cost effect with inventory and launch risk.

Lock Final Cost

The final quotation should correspond to the approved technical and commercial inputs for that project, not to a product that later changes in production.

Freeze specification, quantity, trade terms and approved options.

MOVEVOX reviews Target Cost, Target Quality and Target Time together. A quoted price has value only when it corresponds to a clearly defined product, quantity, customization scope and trade condition.

Testing Support Follows Product and Market Requirements

MOVEVOX can coordinate project-specific testing with customer-nominated or qualified laboratories. Test selection follows the buyer, target market, material and risk requirement, and results remain scope-limited.

Material Composition

Purpose: Confirm whether declared fiber composition or material information requires laboratory verification for the buyer, target market or product documentation.

Method: Method should follow the buyer standard or selected qualified laboratory. MOVEVOX can prepare relevant sample and material information for submission.

Decision Use laboratory result and buyer requirement; no universal result is assumed.

Colorfastness

Purpose: Evaluate color behavior where a buyer specification, material risk or market requirement calls for formal colorfastness assessment.

Method: Testing method and acceptance criteria should be defined by the buyer or qualified laboratory for the actual product.

Decision Pass or fail follows the applicable buyer or laboratory criterion.

Shrinkage Stability

Purpose: Assess dimensional change where shrinkage or stability is an identified product requirement for the material or finished style.

Method: Internal checks can support development; formal third-party evidence should use the buyer-approved laboratory method.

Decision Acceptance follows customer specification or agreed test requirement.

Stretch Recovery

Purpose: Evaluate stretch and recovery where these characteristics matter to fit, shape retention or the buyer’s technical requirement.

Method: The project should define required laboratory or buyer method before testing. MOVEVOX can coordinate sample submission.

Decision No unsupported universal recovery percentage is claimed.

Opacity Review

Purpose: Check coverage under relevant stretch conditions where opacity matters to leggings, shorts or other fitted products.

Method: Internal sample evaluation can support development; a formal method should be defined when required by the buyer.

Decision Buyer-approved criterion or specified method determines acceptance.

Chemical Restrictions

Purpose: Support chemical-restriction testing where target market, buyer RSL or project specification requires third-party evidence.

Method: Existing 2025 reports cover a specific black fitness yoga leggings sample for RoHS-related substances and REACH Annex XVII phthalates.

Decision Reports apply only to the tested sample and stated scope, not all production.

RoHS 2.0 test-report evidence for a specific black fitness yoga leggings sample
REACH Annex XVII phthalates test-report evidence for a specific black fitness yoga leggings sample

Evidence boundary: the existing 2025 RoHS and REACH reports apply only to the identified tested sample and test scope. They do not certify every MOVEVOX product or the whole factory.

1

Tech Packs & Designs

Tech Packs, design files, customer samples and unreleased product information are treated as customer project assets rather than general marketing material. Receiving a file is not permission to display or reuse an original customer design.

2

Logos & Brand Assets

Customer logos, artwork, labels and packaging files are used for the authorized project purpose. MOVEVOX does not use a customer brand as public supplier endorsement without authorization.

3

Unreleased Product Data

ODM work can expose upcoming colors, designs, quantities and launch information. MOVEVOX supports NDA requirements and does not accept obvious counterfeit or unauthorized copying projects.

Complex Programs Need a Cross-Functional Project Team

Large, multi-SKU and technically complex programs are supported through coordinated account, development, sourcing, PMC, operations, quality and logistics roles rather than one salesperson managing every decision alone.

U.S. Activewear Development and Repeat-Order Project

This anonymous U.S. project shows development from Tech Pack review through multiple samples, wear testing, private-label execution, bulk production and continuing repeat purchasing. Client identity is withheld.

Client Background

The client is a U.S.-based fitness content creator operating an activewear business. The product program has included bodysuits, workout and yoga sets, leggings, shorts, sports bras and tank tops, with the relationship developing around repeat activewear purchasing and ongoing new-product requirements.

Challenge

The products required more than visual replication. The program focused on stretch, support, opacity, soft handfeel, inclusive sizing and seasonal material requirements. The client already had its own Tech Packs, but physical products still needed manufacturability review, sample development and actual fitness-use validation before bulk. Packaging also required color- and size-specific QR-code matching.

MOVEVOX Solution

MOVEVOX reviewed the Tech Pack and translated it into an executable sample-development process. A first sample was produced for review, followed by a revised sample based on real-use feedback. After the revised version was substantially accepted, a small additional sample batch was produced for wear testing. Bulk production was released only after physical validation, with private-label and QR-code packing requirements incorporated into the order-control process.

Execution

  1. Tech Pack Review: manufacturability and the first executable product version were reviewed before sampling.
  2. First Sample: the client evaluated a physical garment against fit, material and intended use.
  3. Revised Sample: agreed real-use feedback was converted into a controlled next version.
  4. Wear-Test Batch: a small additional sample group supported broader physical validation.
  5. Bulk and Packing: private-label, color, size and QR-code requirements were controlled through production and packing.

ODM Yoga Wear Frequently Asked Questions

These questions address the development, MOQ, manufacturing, quality and supplier-qualification issues buyers commonly need resolved before sending files, requesting samples or starting vendor review.

Development

What does ODM mean at MOVEVOX?

ODM means a buyer can enter development before every manufacturing detail is finalized. The input may be a concept, sketch, image, physical reference, incomplete Tech Pack or mature technical file. MOVEVOX supports manufacturing translation covering materials, pattern or seamless structure, fit, construction, branding and physical sampling. The customer retains brand direction and final product approval; ODM does not mean MOVEVOX independently changes or owns the customer’s original design.

Can MOVEVOX develop from an incomplete Tech Pack?

Yes. The development team can identify missing measurements, material direction, construction, fit, branding and other open points before preparing an executable sample version. More complete input generally reduces uncertainty and revision cycles, but a partial Tech Pack is not automatically rejected. Final specifications still require buyer confirmation before the approved version is released into bulk production.

How long does standard sample development take?

The current standard reference is approximately five to ten working days after all necessary development details are confirmed. This timing does not begin automatically when the first inquiry arrives. Unresolved material, color, pattern, artwork, fit or technical questions can delay the start, and complex products or special components may require additional time.

Which sample types can MOVEVOX support?

The current sample system includes Development Samples, Fit Samples, Revised Samples, Size Set Samples, PP Samples, Sales Samples and internal retained samples. Not every project needs every type. The appropriate route depends on product maturity, buyer approval procedure, sizing complexity and production risk, and each sample should have a clear approval scope.

Choose the Next Step for Your Yoga Wear Project

If you are evaluating an ODM yoga wear manufacturer, share the information you already have rather than waiting until every technical detail is complete. MOVEVOX can review a Tech Pack, sketch, authorized reference, product image or written concept together with quantity, customization, timing and buyer-specific audit, quality or testing requirements.
