Custom Gym Wear Manufacturer
Custom Gym Wear Development and Manufacturing for Established Activewear Brands
Build custom gym wear through one manufacturing system covering product development, sampling, Seamless and Cut & Sew production, private-label execution, quality control and scalable bulk manufacturing.
MOVEVOX supports brands developing leggings, sports bras, shorts, tanks, training tops and coordinated gym collections from Tech Packs, approved references or clearly defined product requirements.
Seamless + Cut & Sew
Two core manufacturing routes for different gym-wear structures.
Product Development
Development can begin from a Tech Pack, reference garment or defined product requirement.
Private Label
Garments, logos, labels, hangtags, barcodes and packaging can be coordinated by project.
Controlled Bulk
Sampling, approved standards, bulk production and QC are connected in one execution path.
Development through repeat production
Built for Brands That Need More Than a Logo Supplier
MOVEVOX is best suited to established and growing activewear brands that need a manufacturing partner capable of supporting product development, multiple SKUs, formal sample approval, private-label execution and repeat production.
This page is particularly relevant if your team is qualifying a new gym wear supplier, building a second-source strategy, expanding an existing collection or consolidating Seamless and Cut & Sew products under a more coordinated supply relationship.
You Already Have Product Direction
Your team works with Tech Packs, reference garments, measurement charts, product specifications or defined design requirements.
You Manage Multiple SKUs
Your program may include leggings, bras, shorts, tops, colors, sizes and recurring seasonal development.
You Need Repeatable Bulk Execution
The objective is not only to approve a sample, but to establish a product standard that can be carried into bulk and repeat orders.
You Are Evaluating Long-Term Supply
Quality, production planning, communication, capacity and supplier accountability matter alongside unit cost.
What Should You Evaluate in a Custom Gym Wear Manufacturer?
A qualified gym wear supplier must do more than reproduce a garment. For an established brand, the real evaluation is whether product requirements can be translated into controlled development, production and repeat supply.
Product Fit
Can the supplier manufacture the product structures your collection actually requires, rather than forcing every SKU into one manufacturing method?
Development Fit
Can your Tech Pack, measurement requirements, materials, construction details and comments be translated into an approvable sample?
Production & Delivery
Can materials, production allocation, bulk timing and multiple SKUs be coordinated around an agreed launch or delivery plan?
Quality & Compliance
Are the approved product standard, measurements, workmanship, branding, packaging and buyer-specific requirements carried into inspection?
Long-Term Scale
Can the same supplier support first orders, repeat orders, additional colors, new SKUs and larger production programs without rebuilding the supply chain?
MOVEVOX Manufacturing at a Glance
Key operating figures help buyers understand the manufacturing structure behind a custom gym wear program. Final capacity, MOQ and lead time remain project-specific and should be confirmed against product construction, materials, SKU count and required delivery.
Build a Complete Custom Gym Wear Collection
Gym wear sourcing is rarely limited to one garment. MOVEVOX can support coordinated product development across core bottoms, support tops, training tops, shorts and selected layering pieces using Seamless or Cut & Sew manufacturing according to product structure.
Gym Leggings
High-waist, compression-direction, contour, pocket, seamless and cut-and-sew structures can be reviewed according to the intended training use and Tech Pack.
Biker Shorts
Develop different inseams, waistband structures, pockets, surface textures and fit directions for gym, training and active-lifestyle programs.
Sports Bras
Support direction, strap construction, back design, padding, underband structure and fit should be validated through development and wear evaluation.
Training Shorts
Cut-and-sew or stretch-performance constructions can be reviewed according to movement, pocket requirements, waistband and intended training environment.
Tank Tops
Fitted, cropped, regular-length, built-in-layer and Seamless structures can support different gym and studio concepts.
Training T-Shirts
Develop fitted or relaxed training tops using materials and constructions selected for the buyer’s intended performance and aesthetic direction.
Long-Sleeve Tops
Useful for training collections, layering programs and coordinated seasonal extensions.
Gym Sets
Build coordinated color, material and branding programs across bras, leggings, shorts and tops.
Seamless Gym Wear Development
MOVEVOX operates 28 Italian Santoni seamless knitting machines. Seamless manufacturing is particularly useful when a gym wear concept requires engineered knit structures, rib areas, mesh zones, texture, contour effects or integrated stretch characteristics.
Seamless Leggings
Develop waistband, rib, texture, contour and engineered body-zone structures according to the program requirement.
Seamless Sports Bras
Combine knitted support zones, rib structures, mesh details and post-knitting assembly based on the approved design.
Seamless Shorts
Useful for coordinated gym collections that share yarn, surface structure and design language with leggings.
Seamless Tanks & Tops
Support engineered rib, mesh and body-mapped knit structures within the capability of the selected machine program.
Color & Yarn Development
Available yarn, color direction and custom requirements are reviewed before sample and bulk planning.
Programming & Fit Validation
Seamless structure must still be validated through measurements, stretch behavior and physical sample approval before bulk production.
Cut & Sew Gym Wear for More Complex Constructions
Cut & Sew manufacturing provides greater flexibility when products require defined panels, pockets, zippers, bindings, layered structures, multiple materials or construction details that are not suitable for a Seamless knitting route.
Pattern & Fit
The pattern is developed or reviewed against the Tech Pack, measurement chart and approved fit direction.
Fabric Cutting
Panels are cut according to the confirmed production pattern and material direction.
Panel Construction
Multiple panels can be used to create shaping, contrast areas and engineered product structures.
Pocket Structures
Side pockets, waistband pockets and other product-specific storage details can be developed by project.
Stitching & Assembly
Stitch type and seam construction are selected according to product structure and the approved sample.
Zippers, Bindings & Trims
Complex accessories and finishing details can be integrated when confirmed through development.
Where MOVEVOX Is the Best Fit — and Where We Review First
A reliable manufacturer should be clear about capability boundaries. MOVEVOX evaluates products according to construction, material, performance requirements, equipment and testing needs before confirming manufacturing suitability.
| Product / Requirement | MOVEVOX Position | Manufacturing Direction |
|---|---|---|
| Gym leggings | Core capability | Seamless or Cut & Sew |
| Sports bras | Core capability | Seamless or Cut & Sew |
| Gym / biker shorts | Core capability | Seamless or Cut & Sew |
| Tanks / training tops | Stable capability | Seamless or Cut & Sew |
| Long-sleeve tops | Stable capability | Project-dependent |

Select Fabric Around the Product Requirement
Fabric selection should begin with the intended product, fit, handfeel, stretch, recovery, opacity, construction and target market—not with a generic claim that one fabric is “best” for gym wear. MOVEVOX can source and coordinate common activewear materials and develop project-specific material directions with the buyer.
Nylon / Spandex
Commonly considered where soft handfeel, stretch and close-to-body activewear performance are important.
Polyester / Spandex
Can be evaluated for training products according to handfeel, weight, stretch, construction and price requirements.
Naked-Feel Direction
Material should be selected against the buyer’s intended softness, stretch, recovery, weight and coverage requirements.
Brushed Direction
Useful where the collection requires a softer surface and warmer or more tactile handfeel.
Ribbed & Textured Materials
Can create a stronger visual and tactile identity in both selected knit and Seamless product programs.
Compression Direction
Compression should be developed through material, structure and fit together rather than claimed from fabric composition alone.
Custom Means More Than Adding a Logo
A private-label gym wear program connects garment development with materials, colors, fit, branding, labels, packaging and SKU information. MOVEVOX can coordinate these elements within the same project rather than treating branding as a separate afterthought.
Product & Fit
Develop the garment from the buyer’s technical direction, measurement requirements or approved reference.
Fabric
Select existing material directions or evaluate project-specific sourcing and development requirements.
Color
Use available colors or coordinate Pantone / physical color references where project conditions allow.
Logo
Available processes can include heat transfer, screen printing, silicone applications, jacquard, embroidery or woven branding depending on product structure.
Main, Size & Care Labels
Brand and compliance information can be incorporated according to the buyer’s approved artwork and market requirements.
Hangtags
Custom hangtags can be sourced and coordinated with SKU and brand information.
Polybag & Barcode
Individual packaging, stickers and barcode requirements can be managed against the PO/SKU structure.
Carton & Shipping Marks
Outer carton information and shipping marks are checked against final order requirements before shipment.
From Gym Wear Concept to Production-Ready Product
MOVEVOX product development is designed to convert the buyer’s design intent into a physical product and a manufacturing standard that can later be used for bulk production.
Development Input
Tech Pack, reference garment, sketch, image or clearly defined product concept.
Technical Review
Review structure, measurements, material requirements, branding and open questions.
Material Direction
Identify or source suitable fabric, yarn, trims, color and branding materials.
Pattern or Seamless Structure
Develop the production structure according to the selected manufacturing route.
Development Sample
Create the first physical version for product review.
Fit & Measurement Review
Compare fit, construction and measurements with agreed requirements.
Revision
Record required changes and produce the next version where necessary.
Approval for Bulk Preparation
Lock the approved product direction before production standards are transferred into bulk preparation.
We Review the Tech Pack Before We Make the Sample
A manufacturing supplier should identify unclear, conflicting or difficult-to-execute specifications before they become sample or bulk-production problems. MOVEVOX can review technical inputs and raise open points before sample development begins.
Measurements
Check key dimensions, tolerances and relationships between measurement points.
Construction
Review panels, seams, straps, pockets, waistbands, closures and other structural requirements.
Fabric Compatibility
Assess whether the requested material direction matches the intended construction and product requirement.
Logo & Branding
Confirm artwork, size, location and proposed application method.
Trims & Accessories
Review pads, elastics, zippers, drawcords and other components where applicable.
Open Points
Items that cannot be confirmed from the current Tech Pack are returned to the buyer for clarification before proceeding.
Manage a Gym Collection as a Program, Not as Isolated Samples
A multi-SKU collection introduces more variables than a single garment. Each style can have its own development version, material, color, approval status and production route while still sharing the same launch calendar.
Style / SKU Status
Track each product separately rather than treating the whole collection as one development item.
Sample Version
Maintain the current review and approval version for each style.
Material Status
Track fabric, yarn, trim and color confirmation.
Branding Status
Monitor Logo, label, hangtag and packaging approvals.
Manufacturing Route
Assign Seamless or Cut & Sew according to each product structure.
Milestone Status
Identify which styles are in development, revision, approved or ready for production preparation.
Sampling Is a Controlled Approval Process
The purpose of sampling is not to claim that every first sample will be perfect. It is to identify and resolve product issues before the buyer approves a standard for bulk production. Standard development samples are normally targeted within approximately 5–10 working days after key details are confirmed.
Development Sample
First physical interpretation of the confirmed product input.
Fit Sample
Used when fit and measurement evaluation requires a dedicated review.
Buyer Comments
Requested changes are recorded rather than handled through informal memory.
Revised Sample
A new version is produced when material, fit, construction or branding changes are required.
Size Set / Additional Validation
Used where the project requires size or range confirmation.
PP / Approved Sample
The approved version becomes one of the key references for bulk-production preparation.
The Approved Sample Must Become a Bulk Standard
Sample approval is only useful when its confirmed requirements are transferred into production documentation and inspection criteria. MOVEVOX uses the final approved direction as a reference for bulk preparation rather than allowing the sample and production stages to operate independently.

If Nonconformity Is Found
Affected products can be held while the issue is reviewed. Depending on the problem, the next step may include segregation, rework, corrective action, re-inspection or another agreed disposition.
Compliance Is Managed by Market, Product and Buyer Requirement
MOVEVOX does not use “globally compliant” as a blanket product claim. Compliance requirements vary by target market, product, material, chemical restrictions, labeling rules and the buyer’s own supplier manual.
Target Market
Identify the market where the product will be sold and the applicable buyer requirements.
Material Information
Maintain relevant fabric, yarn, trim and product information needed for project review.
Restricted Substances
Support customer-specific RSL or chemical-testing requirements through project-specific testing where required.
Labels
Care, fiber and other labeling information should follow the confirmed product and destination-market requirements.
Testing
Testing is arranged against the required standard, sample and project scope rather than assumed for every product.
Documentation
Reports, certificates and material evidence must be used only within their actual holder, facility, product and validity scope.
Product Testing Support Based on the Actual Project
Testing requirements can differ by material, target market, buyer standard and product risk. MOVEVOX can coordinate third-party testing when a project requires formal evidence.
Existing Sample-Level RoHS Evidence
A black fitness yoga leggings sample submitted under Yiwu Chenjin Import And Export Co., Ltd. was tested in April 2025. The corresponding report concluded that the tested sample complied with the specified RoHS 2.0 limits.
Existing Phthalate Test Evidence
A black fabric sample from the same fitness yoga leggings project was tested against the specified REACH Annex XVII Entry 51 & 52 phthalate requirements, with the report conclusion recorded as Pass.
Buyer-Specified Testing
Additional testing can be arranged according to the actual fabric, product, destination market and buyer testing requirement.
Scope Matters
A test report for one submitted sample does not certify every MOVEVOX garment or every production lot. Evidence must always be read against the sample, test method and report scope.

Case Study: From Tech Pack to Repeat Custom Activewear Orders
A real project example showing how development, sample revision, private-label execution and SKU-level packing controls were applied in practice.
A U.S. fitness-focused client approached MOVEVOX with its own product specifications and activewear requirements. The program covered multiple gym and yoga products, including leggings, shorts, sports bras, tanks, sets and other close-to-body activewear.
Challenge — Product Performance and Fit Requirements
The client required high-stretch products with support, coverage and extended sizing. MOVEVOX reviewed the customer’s Tech Pack and developed the first sample version for evaluation.
Development — Sample Revision Before Bulk
After reviewing the first version, the customer requested adjustments based on its intended use. MOVEVOX developed a second version and then produced a small batch of 5–10 samples for real wear testing before bulk approval.
Private Label — More Than the Garment
The bulk project also included custom packaging, fitness-related instruction material, labels, Logo, care labels and individual packaging.
Execution Risk — QR Code and SKU Accuracy
Different colors and four sizes required different QR-code labels on individual packages. MOVEVOX handled the project by processing products by style and color groups and adding a double-confirmation step for SKU and packaging information.
Long-Term Result
The client continued working with MOVEVOX on repeat activewear orders and ongoing product development. The project demonstrates the value of combining sample revision, wear testing, private-label execution and SKU-level packaging control before and during bulk production.
Which Manufacturing Model Fits Your Gym Wear Program?
Different sourcing models can be appropriate for different projects. The relevant question is not which supplier model is universally “best”, but which operating structure fits your product complexity, volume, development needs and supplier-management strategy.
| Supplier Model | Typical Strength | Typical Trade-Off | Best Fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trading Company | Broad sourcing access and product variety | Direct production control varies by supplier network | Buyers prioritizing sourcing convenience |
| Small Single-Process Factory | Direct communication and flexibility in its core process | May have narrower product, development or scaling scope | Simple or highly focused programs |
| Pure Seamless Factory | Deep specialization in seamless knitting | Cut & Sew collection usually requires another manufacturing route | Seamless-focused collections |
| Pure Cut & Sew Factory | Strong traditional garment construction | Engineered seamless products may require another supplier | Cut-and-sew-focused ranges |
| Large Manufacturing Group | High scale, standardization and mature systems | Smaller development programs may face higher entry thresholds or more complex processes | Very large predictable programs |
| MOVEVOX Model | Seamless + Cut & Sew, development, flexible entry and controlled supply-chain expansion | Not positioned as a mega-scale global manufacturing conglomerate | Established brands needing custom development plus room to scale |
Custom Gym Wear Manufacturing FAQs
Answers to common sourcing, development, MOQ, quality, audit and private-label questions from B2B buyers.
Can MOVEVOX manufacture both Seamless and Cut & Sew gym wear?
Yes. MOVEVOX operates both manufacturing routes. Seamless is suitable for selected engineered knit leggings, bras, shorts and tops, while Cut & Sew is used for products requiring panels, pockets, zippers, bindings or more complex garment construction. The final route is confirmed through product review.
Can you manufacture from our Tech Pack?
Yes. Customers can provide a Tech Pack, measurement chart, BOM and construction details. MOVEVOX reviews the technical information before sampling and raises open points where measurements, materials, construction or branding information requires clarification.
What if we do not have a complete Tech Pack?
MOVEVOX can also begin from a legal reference garment, sketch, image or clearly defined product concept. Projects without a complete Tech Pack normally require more product-development work, clarification and sample iteration before a production-ready standard is established.
What is your MOQ for custom gym wear?
The current basic reference is approximately 100 pieces per style for Seamless custom products and approximately 150 pieces per style for Cut & Sew products. Effective MOQ may be higher when custom dyeing, fabrics, logos, trims, labels or packaging have separate supplier minimums.
How long does sample development take?
For standard projects, the current reference is approximately 5–10 working days after the key product details are confirmed. Complex construction, custom materials, special branding or unresolved technical information can extend the development cycle.
How long does bulk production take?
The regular reference for standard bulk projects is approximately 20–35 days. Final timing depends on style complexity, quantity, material readiness, SKU structure, branding, production allocation and inspection requirements.
Can you develop custom fabrics and colors?
MOVEVOX can source activewear fabrics, yarns and colors and coordinate project-specific material development. Available colors may support faster projects, while Pantone matching, custom dyeing or special materials require separate MOQ, lead-time and batch-control evaluation.
Can you provide full private-label packaging?
Yes. Depending on the project, MOVEVOX can coordinate Logos, main labels, size labels, care labels, woven labels, hangtags, stickers, barcodes, polybags, custom packaging and carton marks against the buyer’s approved specifications.
How do you control gym wear quality before shipment?
MOVEVOX uses material, pre-production, first-article, in-line, finished-garment, measurement, branding, packaging and final inspection checkpoints. Buyer standards, Tech Packs and approved samples take priority where provided. Third-party inspection can also be arranged.
Can our sourcing or QA team audit the factory?
Yes. MOVEVOX supports scheduled factory visits, live-video verification, Factory Audits, Technical Audits and buyer-arranged inspections. The scope is coordinated according to the project, production status, confidentiality requirements and the buyer’s audit process.
