Activewear Leggings Manufacturing

Activewear Leggings Manufacturer for Custom Brand Development and Scalable Production

MOVEVOX manufactures custom activewear leggings through both Seamless and Cut & Sew production routes. We support brands from Tech Pack, legal reference sample or defined product concept through material and fit development, sampling, approved standards, controlled bulk production, quality inspection, private-label execution and international shipment coordination.

  • Seamless and Cut & Sew under one accountable manufacturing system
  • Product development from specification through approved production standard
  • Flexible entry quantities with controlled capacity for repeat programs

What Established Leggings Buyers Need From a Supplier

For an established activewear brand, selecting a leggings manufacturer is rarely a single-price decision. The supplier must support product development, repeatable quality, transparent production management and the ability to continue with repeat orders as the program grows.

Product Repeatability

A commercially useful supplier must do more than produce an attractive first sample. Approved measurements, materials, construction, color, branding and packaging need to become controlled production references so later orders are managed against the same defined standard.

Execution: Approved samples and master specifications remain production references.

Development Clarity

Brands need a supplier that can identify technical conflicts before production. MOVEVOX reviews Tech Packs, measurements, fabric, construction and branding requirements and can develop from a Tech Pack, legal reference sample or sufficiently defined product concept.

Execution: Approximately eight people support design, pattern and sample development functions.

Quality Control

Leggings quality involves more than final appearance. Material properties, dimensions, waistband stability, construction, opacity, branding and packaging all require control at different stages from incoming material through production and shipment release.

Execution: MOVEVOX operates five QC positions with defined inspection stages.

Scalable Capacity

A supplier should remain useful after a successful pilot order. MOVEVOX combines its own manufacturing base with controlled satellite capacity so repeat, multi-SKU and larger programs can be scheduled without abandoning the original project-management standard.

Execution: Eight principal long-term satellite factories supplement controlled internal capacity.

Compliance Readiness

Mature buyers often require factory information, audit access, testing support, third-party inspection or buyer-specific manuals. MOVEVOX supports formal supplier review while keeping certification and test claims limited to their actual documented scope.

Execution: Factory visits, video audits and buyer-appointed inspection are supported.

MOVEVOX is not positioned around the lowest possible unit price. The intended fit is a brand that wants a manufacturing partner able to move from development into repeatable production with defined quality standards, transparent capacity management and an accountable commercial interface.

Four Risks That Undermine Leggings Supplier Performance

For leggings programs, procurement risk often appears after the first sample has been approved. MOVEVOX therefore treats product standards, production location, material control, quality checkpoints and capacity planning as connected parts of the same order-management process.

Sample-to-Bulk Drift

Impact

Measurements, material handfeel, waistband behavior, construction or branding can move away from the approved development version, creating fit inconsistency, rework and delayed commercial release.

MOVEVOX Response

Approved samples, confirmed specifications, material requirements, branding files and packaging instructions are converted into production references and checked through pre-production, first-article, inline and final-control stages.

Approved Standard

Fit and Opacity Drift

Impact

Changes in fabric, sizing, stretch or garment construction can alter waistband stability, recovery and opacity even when the visual design appears unchanged.

MOVEVOX Response

MOVEVOX reviews fabric characteristics, measurements, stretch and opacity during development and quality control, with the approved sample and project-specific acceptance requirements retained as reference standards.

Project QC

Capacity Failure After Scale

Impact

A supplier that performs well on a small order may struggle when quantities, colors, sizes or SKUs increase, creating uncontrolled production allocation or missed delivery dates.

MOVEVOX Response

The owned production base handles development, key production and control work while approved satellite capacity can be allocated under unified specifications, PMC, QC and release responsibility.

Capacity Review

Uncontrolled Production Changes

Impact

Moving production between factories without buyer visibility can create material, process and compliance differences and may conflict directly with approved-factory or audit requirements.

MOVEVOX Response

MOVEVOX does not change production sites in violation of contractual or written buyer restrictions. Projects requiring approved-factory production receive site disclosure and approval before relevant changes.

Critical Leggings Areas to Review Before Bulk Production

A leggings specification should be assessed as a connected garment system. MOVEVOX reviews the locations most likely to affect fit, appearance, movement and bulk repeatability before the approved product becomes the production reference.

Front view of MOVEVOX leggings used to explain critical product measurement and construction zones

MOVEVOX does not treat one passing measurement as proof that the complete leggings fit is correct. Waist, hip, rise, inseam, crotch position, waistband construction, fabric stretch and recovery are reviewed together against the buyer's specification and approved sample.

Choose the Manufacturing Route That Fits Your Leggings Design

MOVEVOX operates both Seamless and Cut & Sew systems. Neither route is automatically better for every leggings program. The choice should follow the product's structure, fit, pocket or panel requirements, material strategy, branding and expected order structure.

MOVEVOX visual comparison of seamless and cut-and-sew activewear leggings manufacturing routes

Seamless Knitting Route

Seamless leggings are developed through yarn selection, knitting program, structure, density and garment finishing. This route can create rib, texture, mesh, visual zones and localized density while reducing selected traditional seams.

  • Engineered rib, mesh and texture through knitting structure
  • Local density and contour zones can be programmed
  • Product feasibility depends on yarn, machine and size structure

Cut-and-Sew Construction Route

Cut & Sew starts with selected fabric, pattern development, cutting and garment construction. It offers greater freedom for pockets, shaped panels, different material combinations and product structures that rely on defined seam and pattern placement.

  • Greater freedom for pockets and complex panel construction
  • Pattern and fabric behavior define final fit
  • Multiple materials and structural components can be combined

Manufacturing Equipment Behind MOVEVOX Leggings Programs

Equipment matters only when it connects to product execution. MOVEVOX combines owned Seamless and Cut & Sew production equipment with dedicated development, inspection and finishing functions to turn approved leggings specifications into controlled production.

Two Cut-and-Sew Controls That Shape Leggings Bulk Consistency

Cut & Sew leggings depend on more than sewing workmanship. Pattern accuracy, fabric behavior, cutting direction, seam construction, measurement control and approved production standards must work together if the bulk garment is expected to reproduce the approved sample.

MOVEVOX leggings pattern, cutting and measurement control before cut-and-sew production

Pattern, Cutting and Fit

MOVEVOX's technical pattern function reviews the buyer's Tech Pack, measurements and target fit before the final bulk pattern is locked. Cut & Sew leggings can include pockets, shaped panels, different materials and defined structural lines, but those features must be validated during sampling. The final pattern remains aligned with the approved sample and confirmed measurement table rather than being altered by production operators without technical approval.

MOVEVOX activewear leggings sewing, finishing and garment inspection process

Sewing, Finishing and Inspection

High-stretch activewear requires seam construction and workmanship to remain stable under the intended garment stretch. MOVEVOX uses its owned Cut & Sew production capability and controlled satellite capacity according to project requirements, with production inspection, finished-garment inspection and final release managed under the same approved specifications. Measurements, appearance, branding, labels and packing are checked before shipment release.

Leggings Fit Must Be Controlled as a System

MOVEVOX does not use a single local size standard as the default for international brands. Leggings measurements and fit are developed around the customer's target market, specification, approved sample and intended material behavior.

Waist-to-Hip Balance

Waist and hip measurements must work together with waistband height, material stretch, recovery and the intended compression level. MOVEVOX checks these dimensions against the customer's size chart and approved sample rather than treating the waistband as an isolated component. Where a brand uses its own fit block or grading logic, that customer standard becomes the technical basis for further development and production.

Rise and Crotch Position

Front rise, back rise and crotch position influence coverage, comfort and garment balance during movement. MOVEVOX includes these measurements among the key leggings quality-control points and uses sample fitting and buyer feedback to refine the product before final approval. The final production pattern must remain aligned with the approved version and confirmed measurement specification.

Length, Stretch and Recovery

Inseam, side length, leg opening and overall garment dimensions interact with the fabric's stretch and recovery. A material with a different stretch profile can change the wearing fit even when flat measurements remain similar. MOVEVOX therefore combines measurement control with material review, stretch and recovery checks and the approved garment standard before moving into bulk production.

Leggings Fabric Directions for Different Brand Performance Targets

MOVEVOX develops activewear around multiple material families rather than one universal leggings fabric. The ranges below are internal V1 development references; final composition, GSM, performance and certification must be locked to a specific material code and project.

Nylon + Spandex activewear fabric reference for leggings development

Nylon + Spandex

Reference composition: 70–82% Nylon / 18–30% Spandex
Reference GSM: 190–280 GSM

Four-Way Stretch / High Stretch / Activewear

This broad material direction can support multiple leggings programs where the buyer needs high stretch, smooth handling and activewear-oriented recovery. Exact handfeel, compression, opacity and surface finish depend on the selected fabric rather than the fiber percentage alone.

Expanded details

MOVEVOX uses Nylon/Polyamide and Spandex combinations across multiple activewear developments. The V1 engineering reference range is approximately 70–82% Nylon with 18–30% Spandex and approximately 190–280 GSM. Recovery references in the internal matrix are approximately 90–95%+ under the applicable development reference conditions. These values are not universal product guarantees. Final fabric composition and performance must be confirmed through supplier specification, project material code, sample review and any required testing.

Polyester + Spandex activewear fabric reference for leggings development

Polyester + Spandex

Reference composition: 75–90% Polyester / 10–25% Spandex
Reference GSM: 160–250 GSM

Four-Way Stretch / Medium-High Stretch / Training

Polyester and Spandex combinations can support training and activewear programs requiring a different material balance from Nylon-based leggings. Final opacity, moisture-management claims, drying performance and surface character must be established by the specific selected material.

Expanded details

MOVEVOX's V1 development reference for Polyester + Spandex is approximately 75–90% Polyester with 10–25% Spandex, generally around 160–250 GSM. Internal reference recovery is approximately 88–94%+ under corresponding development conditions. Polyester composition alone does not prove moisture-wicking or quick-dry performance. Where a buyer requires those functions, MOVEVOX links claims to the actual material specification, supplier evidence or project-specific laboratory testing rather than the fiber name.

Naked-Feel activewear fabric reference for leggings development

Naked-Feel

Reference composition: 75–82% Nylon / 18–25% Spandex
Reference GSM: 200–240 GSM

Soft Hand / Four-Way Stretch / Yoga

MOVEVOX defines naked-feel as a soft, fine, low-friction, close-to-skin handfeel direction rather than one fixed composition. It is particularly relevant to Yoga, Pilates and lower-to-medium compression leggings where tactile comfort is a primary design target.

Expanded details

The internal reference direction commonly uses fine Nylon with Spandex, approximately 75–82% Nylon and 18–25% Spandex at around 200–240 GSM. Internal V1 recovery reference is approximately 92–96%+. Light colors, surface snagging, batch handfeel, transfer-logo pressure marks and high-temperature finishing require additional attention. The final product should therefore be approved through a real fabric swatch and garment sample, not selected only from a numerical composition.

Brushed activewear fabric reference for leggings development

Brushed

Reference composition: 75–82% Nylon/Polyester / 18–25% Spandex
Reference GSM: 210–270 GSM

Soft Surface / Autumn-Winter / Yoga

Brushed high-stretch materials can support softer leggings and seasonal Yoga or training products. Surface treatment changes tactile feel and visual character, but brushed fabric should not automatically be described as thermally certified or technically insulating.

Expanded details

MOVEVOX's V1 reference range for brushed activewear materials is approximately 75–82% Nylon or Polyester with 18–25% Spandex and around 210–270 GSM. Internal recovery reference is approximately 90–95%+. Development focuses on brushing direction, handfeel consistency, pilling, fiber shedding, snagging, shade consistency and compatibility with branding processes. Any specific warmth, abrasion or pilling claim requires appropriate project evidence rather than the brushed finish alone.

Peach Skin activewear fabric reference for leggings development

Peach Skin

Reference composition: 75–85% Nylon/Polyester / 15–25% Spandex
Reference GSM: 190–240 GSM

Soft Finish / Pilates / Athleisure

Peach-finish materials create a fine, soft surface direction for Yoga, Pilates and Athleisure leggings. They can be based on Nylon/Spandex or Polyester/Spandex, with the final handfeel determined by both base fabric and finishing.

Expanded details

The V1 development range is approximately 75–85% principal Nylon or Polyester fiber with 15–25% Spandex at approximately 190–240 GSM. Internal recovery reference is approximately 90–95%+. Surface finishing can increase sensitivity to friction, oil marks, pressure marks and batch finishing differences. Logo application temperature and packaging folds therefore require sample validation to reduce permanent pressure or surface-mark risks.

Ribbed activewear fabric reference for leggings development

Ribbed

Reference composition: 75–90% Nylon/Polyester / 10–25% Spandex
Reference GSM: 220–320 GSM

Structured Surface / Coverage / Visual Texture

Ribbed leggings may use Cut & Sew ribbed fabric or rib structures programmed directly into a Seamless product. The effect can create strong visual direction and body coverage, but extension across the rib structure can change appearance and opacity.

Expanded details

MOVEVOX's Cut & Sew ribbed material reference range is approximately 75–90% Nylon or Polyester with 10–25% Spandex and around 220–320 GSM. Seamless rib is controlled through yarn and knitting density rather than fabric width. Internal V1 recovery reference is approximately 90–95%+. Key development risks include distorted rib direction, show-through when stretched, dimensional recovery, inconsistent panel orientation and seam bulk in thicker areas.

Textured activewear fabric reference for leggings development

Textured

Reference composition: 75–90% Nylon/Polyester / 10–25% Spandex
Reference GSM: 210–320 GSM

Texture / Seamless Option / Visual Differentiation

Texture can come from a Cut & Sew textured material or a programmed Seamless structure. It is useful when a brand wants visual differentiation without relying only on print, but complex surfaces create additional consistency and branding-placement challenges.

Expanded details

MOVEVOX's V1 reference range for textured piece goods is approximately 75–90% Nylon or Polyester with 10–25% Spandex and around 210–320 GSM. Internal recovery reference is approximately 88–95%+. Seamless textured garments derive final weight and behavior from yarn, knitting density and size program. Complex raised surfaces require attention to texture consistency, shade appearance and logo flatness during sample approval and bulk inspection.

Compression activewear fabric reference for leggings development

Compression

Reference composition: 65–78% Nylon/Polyester / 22–35% Spandex
Reference GSM: 230–320 GSM

Strong Recovery / Coverage / Compression Fit

Compression-oriented materials can support training tights and leggings where stronger recovery and a more supportive fit are required. MOVEVOX treats this as non-medical sports compression and does not attach clinical pressure or therapeutic claims without appropriate independent validation.

Expanded details

The V1 Cut & Sew compression-material reference range is approximately 65–78% Nylon or Polyester with 22–35% Spandex at approximately 230–320 GSM. Internal recovery reference is approximately 92–97%+. Seamless compression is developed through yarn, knitting structure and regional density. Final comfort, fit, seam strength, recovery and the intended pressure sensation must be verified on the real garment before the product can be approved.

Reference ranges are not universal product guarantees. Final fabric composition and performance must be confirmed through supplier specification, project material code, sample review and any required testing.

Compare Stretch and Recovery Before Locking Leggings Fabric

Stretch alone does not define a good leggings material. MOVEVOX evaluates extension together with recovery, weight, surface, opacity and the intended garment structure before a material is locked for an approved sample.

These ranges are development references rather than guaranteed specifications for every fabric. Final selection should be based on the actual material code, buyer target, garment size, intended fit, color and approved sample. Recovery data, opacity and other performance claims should not be transferred from one material to another merely because the fiber composition looks similar.

How MOVEVOX Controls Opacity in Activewear Leggings

MOVEVOX treats opacity as a combined result of material density, color, GSM, stretch level, fit and garment construction. We do not use a universal “100% squat-proof” claim without a defined, repeatable test protocol and matching evidence.

Material Density evidence for activewear leggings opacity control

Material Density

Opacity starts with the selected material structure.

Higher-density activewear fabrics can provide stronger coverage, but density must be assessed together with color, weight and actual garment stretch. MOVEVOX includes transparency among incoming-material and finished-garment inspection items rather than defining opacity from fiber content alone.

Evidence basis: Material specification, sample and opacity inspection under agreed conditions.

Color and Weight evidence for activewear leggings opacity control

Color and Weight

Light colors require separate opacity validation.

Dark colors generally achieve coverage more easily than white, light pink, fluorescent or other lighter shades. MOVEVOX therefore evaluates the actual selected color and material rather than assuming one fabric construction produces identical opacity across every color.

Evidence basis: Color-specific fabric and approved garment sample.

Stretch-State Check evidence for activewear leggings opacity control

Stretch-State Check

Opacity should be assessed while the garment is stretched.

Leggings can appear opaque when flat but expose more light when extended on the body. MOVEVOX therefore allows project wording such as “opacity checked under stretch” when the corresponding project inspection has been completed.

Evidence basis: Buyer-agreed stretch or squat-coverage inspection method.

Fit and Structure evidence for activewear leggings opacity control

Fit and Structure

Incorrect sizing can change opacity even with the same fabric.

Excessive garment stretch, size selection, pattern dimensions and garment construction can affect coverage. MOVEVOX reviews material and fit together so an opacity conclusion remains tied to the approved product rather than only to an unassembled fabric swatch.

Evidence basis: Approved fit, measurement specification and finished-garment check.

Technical Review Before We Commit a Leggings Sample

A technical review is intended to identify conflicts before money and time are committed to an incorrect sample. MOVEVOX reviews the inputs that directly affect manufacturability, fit, bulk consistency and the commercial feasibility of the project.

Review Area
Risk / Impact
MOVEVOX Review

Measurements

A size table may contain conflicting waist, hip, rise, inseam or grading relationships that do not match the intended fit or reference sample.

If those conflicts move directly into sampling, revision cycles increase and the sample may be rejected even when workmanship itself is acceptable.

Technical pattern staff compare the supplied measurements, target fit and available reference information, identify conflicts and confirm the production version before the approved sample is locked.

Material

A selected fabric may not provide the intended handfeel, stretch, recovery, opacity, compression direction or compatibility with the product structure.

The visual design can remain unchanged while fit, comfort, coverage or bulk repeatability changes because material behavior is different from the development assumption.

Material sourcing and development teams review composition, GSM, stretch, handfeel, color requirements and relevant performance targets before the material is approved for sampling or production.

Construction

A design may include features better suited to Seamless knitting, or conversely pockets, panels and structures more appropriate for Cut & Sew.

Using the wrong manufacturing route can introduce unnecessary limitations, development changes or production instability after the buyer has already approved the commercial concept.

The project is reviewed against both manufacturing systems so the development route follows the actual garment structure rather than forcing every leggings design through the same production method.

Branding

Logo artwork, dimensions or placement may conflict with seams, texture, high-stretch areas, brushed surfaces or the selected branding process.

Incorrect process selection can create placement variation, cracking, lifting, surface marks or a bulk result that differs from the approved branding appearance.

Final artwork, position measurements, color references and the approved sample establish the branding standard, with process compatibility reviewed against the actual fabric and location.

MOQ and Timing

The apparel quantity may meet garment MOQ while custom dyeing, special materials, logos, labels or packaging create a separate minimum or longer material lead time.

Commercial feasibility can change after development if these independent constraints are discovered only when the buyer is ready to place the PO.

MOQ, dye-lot requirements, special material conditions, branding requirements and lead-time factors are identified as early as possible so the buyer can make an informed development decision.

From Confirmed Brief to Standard Sample in Controlled Steps

MOVEVOX's standard sample lead time is normally approximately five to ten working days after the required development information and key details are confirmed. Revision needs, special materials and buyer feedback can extend the overall approval cycle.

Technical Review

The development team reviews the product specification, measurements, manufacturing route, materials, branding and open technical points before work proceeds into the physical sample stage.

Material Confirmation

Available material directions, required colors, yarn or fabric specifications and special sourcing conditions are confirmed sufficiently to support the intended sample and target product.

Pattern or Program

Cut & Sew products move through technical pattern preparation, while Seamless products require knitting structure and program development according to the approved design direction.

Sample Making

The sample team produces the development garment using the currently confirmed specification, material, pattern or knitting program and agreed branding details.

Internal Check

Before shipment, the sample is checked for dimensions, fit-related construction, appearance, workmanship, branding and other project-specific requirements that can be inspected internally.

Buyer Feedback

The customer evaluates the physical sample and provides fit, measurement, material, color, branding or design feedback before a revised or approval version is produced.

Approval and Retention

After approval, the relevant sample, specifications and version information become production references. Important projects normally keep an internal retained sample for later comparison during bulk execution.

The five-to-ten-working-day reference begins after required development details are sufficiently confirmed. Buyer changes, special material sourcing, custom processes, additional revisions and international courier transit are outside that base production reference.

From Development Sample to Bulk-Ready Production Standard

The purpose of sample approval is not simply to approve one physical garment. MOVEVOX uses the approved product together with controlled technical, material, branding and packaging information to create the reference system used for bulk execution.

MOVEVOX leggings bulk garment produced against approved production standard

Measurements — Development

During development, measurements may still change after fit review, buyer feedback or material evaluation.

Measurements — Bulk Standard

Before bulk release, the confirmed measurement specification, tolerance and approved sample become the reference used by pattern, production and quality-control personnel.

Material and Color — Development

Early development may compare several material directions, colors, handfeels or GSM options.

Material and Color — Bulk Standard

The production material source, specification, approved color and relevant batch requirements are locked sufficiently for purchasing and incoming-material inspection.

Construction — Development

Pattern details, seamless structures, pocket positions, seams or other construction points may still be modified.

Construction — Bulk Standard

The approved pattern or knitting version and construction requirements become production references and cannot be changed casually during bulk manufacturing.

Branding — Development

Logo size, color, position, label content or application method may still be evaluated.

Branding — Bulk Standard

Final artwork, position measurements, approved appearance and label files become the basis for production and QC verification.

Packaging — Development

Packaging, barcode, sticker, hangtag or carton requirements may still be under commercial discussion.

Packaging — Bulk Standard

Final packaging instructions, PO/SKU information, labels and carton marks are aligned before final packing and shipment-release checks.

MOVEVOX does not treat the approved sample as the only production document. Bulk execution also depends on the current Tech Pack or specification, material requirements, measurement table, branding files, packaging instructions, PO and version control.

MOQ by Leggings Manufacturing Route and Custom Color Requirement

MOVEVOX uses different MOQ baselines for Seamless and Cut & Sew leggings because their production systems and material requirements are different. Custom colors, dedicated materials, logo processes and packaging can create separate minimum quantities.

Seamless

Approximately 100 Pieces

MOVEVOX's current standard Seamless apparel MOQ is approximately 100 pieces per style. This is a garment-production baseline, not a guarantee that every custom yarn, color, branding process or packaging component can also be purchased at 100 pieces.

When dedicated yarn or material dyeing is required, a normal custom-color dye lot is typically evaluated around the equivalent of approximately 400–600 garments, depending on style consumption and material conditions.

Cut & Sew

Approximately 150 Pieces

MOVEVOX's current standard Cut & Sew apparel MOQ is approximately 150 pieces per style. Final commercial feasibility still depends on fabric availability, colors, size breakdown, branding, trims and packaging.

If a project requires dedicated fabric dyeing, special accessories or other independently sourced components, those suppliers may have their own MOQ. The confirmed project MOQ therefore follows the complete BOM rather than the garment quantity alone.

MOQ is intended to support reasonable product validation while keeping the order technically and commercially executable. MOVEVOX does not promise an artificially low quantity when material, color or accessory supply conditions do not support it.

Private Label Options Beyond the Leggings Body

Private label at MOVEVOX can extend from the garment itself into logo application, labels, hangtags, barcodes and packaging. Every branding process is confirmed against the actual material, artwork, order quantity and production requirement.

Choose the Next Step for Your Leggings Program

By this stage, the relevant next step should depend on your actual sourcing situation. MOVEVOX can review a new leggings concept, evaluate an existing supplier-transfer project or assess a repeat program that needs additional controlled capacity.

How Approved Leggings Move Through Controlled Bulk Production

Bulk execution begins only after the critical commercial and technical inputs are sufficiently defined. MOVEVOX manages the order from specification freeze through material readiness, production, quality control, packing and final release as one connected workflow.

Specification Freeze

The production version is built around the current Tech Pack or confirmed specification, approved sample, measurement table, material and color standard, logo artwork, labels, packaging instructions and PO. Buyer changes must be confirmed and version-controlled before they are transferred to production so old information does not continue to circulate across the order.

Material Readiness

Key yarns, fabrics, custom colors, branding materials, labels, trims and packaging components are purchased or source-controlled according to the project requirement. Incoming materials are reviewed for applicable factors such as composition, color, GSM, shrinkage, fading, elasticity and transparency before production use.

First Article Check

Before full production proceeds, the first garment or first production output is reviewed against the approved reference. Measurements, construction, seamless structure, workmanship, branding location and other critical product points can be checked so obvious deviations are corrected before a larger quantity is affected.

Bulk Production and WIP

MOVEVOX's PMC and order-management functions track material status, production allocation, line progress, quantity and key production milestones. For multi-SKU orders, management follows PO, style/SKU, color, size and delivery requirements rather than treating the complete order as one undifferentiated quantity.

Inline and Final QC

During production, QC covers process inspection, finished-garment measurements, appearance, workmanship, seamless structures, logo, labels and packaging requirements. If issues are detected, affected goods can be isolated, corrected and rechecked while the root cause is addressed.

Packing and Release

Final packing follows the confirmed packaging instruction, label files, PO and SKU information. Quantity, carton marks, packing list and shipment information are checked before release. Buyer-appointed third-party inspection can be incorporated into shipment-release requirements where specified.

How MOVEVOX Builds Capacity Without Losing Order Control

MOVEVOX separates owned manufacturing assets from collaborative capacity and uses a conservative managed-capacity definition. The objective is to expand production without presenting satellite factories as owned assets or treating theoretical machine output as guaranteed delivery.

Managed Delivery Capacity

The current external capacity statement is approximately 150,000–200,000 finished pieces per month of stable managed supply-chain release capability across Seamless and Cut & Sew. This is a management-capacity definition, not theoretical machine maximum.

  • Stable managed network output
  • Combined Seamless and Cut & Sew release capability

Controlled Satellite Capacity

MOVEVOX currently works with eight principal long-term satellite factories, including six in Yiwu and two in Guangzhou. These facilities support defined production tasks under MOVEVOX-issued specifications, material requirements, progress management and QC.

  • 8 principal long-term satellite factories
  • Satellite assets are not described as owned

Core Factory Control

The owned Yiwu manufacturing base remains the technical, development, core-production and quality-control center. It establishes samples, standards and key process requirements before suitable repeatable work is allocated within the approved production network.

  • 28 owned Santoni machines
  • ~24 principal owned garment machines

Order-Level Planning

The confirmed normal single-order range is approximately 300–50,000 pieces across different project structures. Larger, concentrated or unusually time-sensitive programs require independent capacity evaluation based on style, material, color, production site and delivery schedule.

  • Normal single-order range ~300–50,000 pieces
  • Larger programs require pre-order capacity review

MOVEVOX does not present every machine in every partner factory as one additive capacity number. Buyer programs are scheduled according to approved production sites, product route, current WIP, materials and delivery requirements, with MOVEVOX retaining unified PMC, QC and shipment-release responsibility.

How Production Sites Are Controlled and Disclosed

MOVEVOX's operating model includes an owned factory, long-term satellite factories and approved specialist partners. The key procurement question is therefore not whether collaboration exists, but how production location, standards, approvals and responsibility are controlled.

Does MOVEVOX use satellite factories?

Yes. MOVEVOX's normal business model combines an owned Yiwu manufacturing base with eight principal long-term satellite factories and selected specialist partners. Satellite factories are used for controlled capacity expansion and appropriate production tasks after standards have been established. MOVEVOX does not describe these facilities as owned factories and does not transfer client management responsibility to them.

Can production move without buyer approval?

Not where the buyer's contract, approved-factory requirement or written instruction restricts the production location. For projects defined as “Approved Factory Only,” requiring factory audit or otherwise limiting subcontracting, a production-site change must receive buyer approval before implementation.

Will buyers know where production occurs?

When a customer requires supplier registration, factory audit, compliance review, country-of-origin confirmation, approved-site production or specific production-location disclosure, MOVEVOX provides the relevant production-site information according to the project.

Who controls technical standards?

MOVEVOX issues and manages the master version of the project information, including approved samples, specifications, core materials, production requirements, quality standards and packaging instructions. Satellite or collaborative factories do not independently redefine the buyer's product standard.

Who is responsible for quality issues?

MOVEVOX remains the first accountability window for customer quality or execution issues. The company reviews the approved sample, Tech Pack, inspection records, material lot and production records to determine problem scope and root cause, then coordinates corrective action where necessary.

Can a buyer audit production?

Yes. MOVEVOX supports customer factory visits, technical audits, video factory reviews and buyer-appointed inspection according to the actual project and relevant production location. Areas involving other customers' confidential work may remain restricted.

Can satellite factories subcontract again independently?

Satellite and collaborative factories do not have authority to redefine the customer's production chain independently. MOVEVOX controls facility selection, order information, material requirements, production progress, quality checks and final release within the buyer's agreed site restrictions.

Eight Quality Control Points for Leggings Bulk Execution

MOVEVOX's quality system uses the buyer's Tech Pack, PO, approved sample, measurement table, color and branding standards and packaging requirements as the primary execution basis. Inspection begins before the final carton stage.

Incoming Material evidence in MOVEVOX leggings quality control

Incoming Material

Incoming fabric and related materials can be checked against applicable composition, color, GSM, shrinkage, fading, elasticity and transparency requirements before production. The exact inspection set depends on the buyer's standard and material used in the project.

Specification Freeze evidence in MOVEVOX leggings quality control

Specification Freeze

Approved measurements, material requirements, color, construction, branding and packaging information must be sufficiently aligned before production. Version control reduces the risk that an old Tech Pack, artwork file or packaging instruction remains active after a revision.

Pre-Production Review evidence in MOVEVOX leggings quality control

Pre-Production Review

Before production begins, relevant teams review the approved sample, material status, construction requirements, logo and labels, packaging and project-specific control points. This is intended to identify execution conflicts before larger quantities enter manufacturing.

First Article evidence in MOVEVOX leggings quality control

First Article

The first production output is checked against the approved standard before continuing at scale. Measurements, appearance, garment structure, seamless knitting location, workmanship and branding can be reviewed according to the risk profile of the specific leggings program.

Inline Inspection evidence in MOVEVOX leggings quality control

Inline Inspection

QC inspections continue during production so deviations can be identified before the entire quantity is completed. Where necessary, affected goods can be isolated, corrected and rechecked while root cause is addressed within the production process.

Garment Measurement evidence in MOVEVOX leggings quality control

Garment Measurement

Finished leggings are checked against confirmed measurement requirements, including relevant waist, hip, rise, inseam, side length, leg opening and other dimensions. Final tolerances follow the buyer-approved specification rather than one universal tolerance.

Branding and Packing evidence in MOVEVOX leggings quality control

Branding and Packing

Logo position, artwork, color, main label, size label, care label and packaging information are checked against approved files. SKU, barcode, bag, carton mark and packing-list errors are treated as order-quality issues because they affect warehouse and retail execution.

Final Inspection evidence in MOVEVOX leggings quality control

Final Inspection

Before shipment release, finished-garment quality, packaging, quantity and required inspection results are reviewed. Customer-appointed third-party inspection can be used where specified, and goods that have not achieved required release status should not enter shipment.

The Project Roles Behind a Managed Leggings Program

MOVEVOX manages development and bulk projects through defined business, technical, sourcing, quality and production-management functions rather than requiring the buyer to coordinate separately with each factory or material supplier.

Real MOVEVOX product development team member or work scene

Product Development

Works within an approximately eight-person product-development function spanning design, pattern and sampling.

The product-development function translates Tech Packs, legal reference samples, sketches and product concepts into materials, measurements, patterns or knitting structures and physical samples. Complex projects can also involve material sourcing, logo suppliers, QC and production personnel during the development review.

Product Development / Sampling / Technical Review

Real MOVEVOX pattern and fit team member or work scene

Pattern and Fit

Two technical pattern roles support pattern development, grading, fit revision and bulk-version control.

The pattern function reviews Tech Pack measurements, physical reference samples and customer sizing requirements, prepares or revises patterns, supports fit changes and maintains the final production pattern against the approved sample and confirmed measurement specification.

Pattern / Fit / Grading

Real MOVEVOX material sourcing team member or work scene

Material Sourcing

Two material-sourcing roles support fabric, yarn, composition, GSM, color and batch coordination.

Material sourcing manages fabric and seamless yarn suppliers, composition and GSM information, color cards, lab-dip coordination, dye-lot follow-up, pricing and bulk material purchasing. Key materials are centrally managed rather than independently selected by each production site.

Fabric / Yarn / Color

Quality Control

Five QC personnel operate under a quality lead with approximately eight years' experience.

The QC function covers incoming material, pre-production, first article, inline inspection, finished-garment measurements and appearance, branding, packing and final inspection. Quality requirements follow the buyer's standard and approved production references.

QC / Inspection / Release

Real MOVEVOX pmc and orders team member or work scene

PMC and Orders

PMC and order-management functions coordinate production status, quantities, milestones and delivery readiness.

The order-management function follows material readiness, production allocation, WIP, key processes, quality issues, packing, inspection and shipment preparation. Multi-SKU programs are managed by PO, style/SKU, color, size and required delivery timing.

Compliance Support for Formal Brand Supplier Qualification

MOVEVOX approaches compliance as project-specific evidence rather than a generic certificate wall. Buyer standards, test scope, actual production location and the specific material or product under review must remain aligned before compliance claims are used.

✓

Buyer Standards

MOVEVOX can work with customer Quality Manuals, Supplier Codes, product specifications, label requirements and other buyer-defined standards. Where a customer standard applies, it takes priority over a generic internal assumption and becomes part of the project execution requirement.

✓

Chemical Testing

MOVEVOX can support customer RSL, REACH and other project-specific chemical testing through buyer-designated or appropriate testing laboratories. A test result is used only for the sample, material, color or scope actually covered by the report.

✓

Factory Audit

Customers can arrange factory visits, technical audits and video reviews according to the project. When a buyer requires an approved production facility, the actual production location and audit scope must align with the corresponding order.

✓

Third-Party Inspection

MOVEVOX accepts buyer-appointed QC and independent third-party inspection. Where required, the resulting inspection report can become part of the shipment-release evidence rather than being replaced by the factory's own internal QC statement.

✓

IP and Confidentiality

MOVEVOX can develop from customer-owned or legally usable reference information and does not treat third-party intellectual property as a normal shortcut for product development. Buyer files, designs and commercial information are managed within the information required for project execution.

Test Evidence With Scope Kept Explicit

Current public test evidence should be read exactly within its documented scope. MOVEVOX does not convert a sample-level test into a factory-wide, all-product or all-color certification claim.

Client Profile

A U.S.-based fitness creator-led activewear customer with more than 30,000 Instagram followers developed a multi-product fitness and yoga program with MOVEVOX. The range included leggings, shorts, sports bras, tank tops, sets and bodysuits, with the customer supplying its own technical package and specific performance and packaging requirements.

Challenge

The customer's products required high stretch, supportive coverage, opacity, soft handfeel and a broad size range, while the project also involved multiple materials and frequent new-product development. Packaging added another control challenge: individual garments used customized packaging, instructions and QR labels that varied by color and size, creating a high risk of SKU-to-label mismatch during final packing.

MOVEVOX Solution

MOVEVOX reviewed the customer's Tech Pack and produced the first sample version for evaluation. After the buyer identified design points that needed adjustment for actual use, a second sample was developed. The buyer then ordered approximately five to ten samples for real user testing before proceeding with bulk production. For the commercial order, MOVEVOX coordinated garment production, custom packaging, instructions, labels, logos and wash labels. Color- and size-specific QR information was double-checked during quality control and packing so the correct garment, size, color and code remained aligned.

Tech Pack Review

The project started from the customer's existing technical package, allowing measurements, construction and material expectations to enter formal development rather than relying on a catalogue product alone.

Revised Sample

The first sample generated customer feedback, after which MOVEVOX produced a second development version incorporating the requested adjustments before wider testing.

User Test Samples

Approximately five to ten samples were prepared so the buyer could carry out practical testing with its audience before deciding to proceed into bulk production.

SKU Packaging Control

The order required different QR information by color and size. QC and packing staff used repeated checks to reduce the risk of mismatched QR labels and products.

Repeat Development

New styles continued to be introduced as part of the relationship, with samples used to evaluate products before repeat commercial ordering.

3 Years

The supplied case history records approximately three years of ongoing cooperation.

~2,000 Pieces / Order

The client record describes an account-level multi-product order of approximately 2,000 pieces per purchase cycle.

~2 Orders / Month

The documented relationship describes approximately two purchasing cycles per month during the ongoing cooperation.

5–10 Test Samples

The customer used approximately five to ten pre-bulk samples for practical audience testing during the described development process.

Scope note: Order quantities above are account-level, multi-product figures from the documented client relationship. They must not be represented as leggings-only order quantities unless SKU-level records are separately verified.

Activewear Leggings Manufacturing Glossary for Procurement Teams

These terms appear frequently in leggings development and supplier qualification. The definitions below explain how they are used in the MOVEVOX production system while keeping buyer-specific standards and approvals as the final project authority.

Approved Sample

A physical sample formally accepted as a reference for later production. At MOVEVOX, the approved sample works together with the confirmed specification, measurement table, material, color, branding and packaging requirements; it is not treated as the only production document.

PP Sample

A pre-production sample produced before bulk manufacturing when the project requires one. Its purpose is to confirm the production-intent version before wider production. The exact need depends on the buyer's process and development stage.

Seamless

A knitting-based manufacturing method in which yarn, machine program and knitted structure create much of the garment body directly. “Seamless” does not mean absolutely no sewing; selected openings, crotch areas, labels or finishing operations may still require sewing.

Cut & Sew

A manufacturing route in which selected fabric is converted into garment panels through pattern development, cutting and sewing. It provides flexibility for pockets, shaped panels, material combinations and other structures that depend on defined pattern and seam construction.

MOQ

Minimum Order Quantity. MOVEVOX's current garment-level reference is approximately 100 pieces per style for Seamless and approximately 150 pieces per style for Cut & Sew, subject to materials, colors, branding and other project requirements.

Custom Color MOQ

The quantity created by the minimum practical dye batch rather than only the garment-production MOQ. MOVEVOX's current reference for dedicated custom dyeing is commonly around the equivalent of approximately 400–600 garments, depending on material and style consumption.

First Article

The first production output checked against the approved production standard before full-scale manufacturing continues. It provides an early opportunity to identify dimensional, construction, workmanship, knitting, branding or other deviations before a larger quantity is affected.

AQL

Acceptance Quality Limit is an industry sampling framework used in many inspection programs. MOVEVOX can work with buyer-defined AQL or other customer inspection standards where required; the exact inspection level and defect classification must follow the agreed project requirement.

Satellite Factory

A long-term collaborative production facility that supports controlled MOVEVOX capacity but is not represented as an owned factory. MOVEVOX issues project standards, coordinates production, follows progress and quality requirements and retains the customer-facing responsibility for the order.

Shipment Release

The point at which required finished-garment, packing, quantity and inspection conditions have been reviewed sufficiently for formal shipment. Buyer-appointed third-party inspection can become part of release evidence when the project requires independent inspection.

Activewear Leggings Manufacturer Frequently Asked Questions

These questions cover the issues buyers usually need to clarify before moving from supplier evaluation into technical review, sample development, quotation, factory qualification and formal production planning.

What leggings manufacturing routes does MOVEVOX support?

MOVEVOX supports both Seamless and Cut & Sew activewear leggings. The owned production system includes 28 Italian Santoni seamless knitting machines and approximately 24 principal sewing and garment-production machines. The appropriate route depends on the product structure, yarn or fabric, pockets, panels, fit and other development requirements.

What is the MOQ for custom leggings?

The current standard garment MOQ is approximately 100 pieces per style for Seamless and approximately 150 pieces per style for Cut & Sew. Dedicated custom color dyeing is commonly evaluated around an equivalent of approximately 400–600 garments. Special fabrics, yarns, logos, labels or packaging may have additional supplier-specific minimum quantities.

How long does sample development usually take?

Standard sample development is normally approximately five to ten working days after all required development information and critical details are confirmed. Special materials, custom processes, design changes, additional revision rounds, buyer approval time and international courier transit can extend the overall project timeline.

How long does bulk production usually take?

MOVEVOX's normal bulk-production reference is approximately twenty to thirty-five days after critical specifications are frozen and relevant commercial and material prerequisites are satisfied. Complex materials, special dyeing, larger programs, buyer inspection requirements and seasonal production loads can require a different confirmed schedule.

Can MOVEVOX develop from a Tech Pack?

Yes. Tech Pack projects are among the best-fit development routes for MOVEVOX. The team can review measurements, fabric, construction, trims, logo, labels and other product requirements before sampling. If a specification contains a technical conflict or manufacturability issue, it should be raised before production rather than silently changed.

How is leggings opacity controlled?

MOVEVOX treats opacity as a combined result of material density, color, GSM, stretch, size, fit and garment structure. Transparency is included in relevant material and finished-garment inspection. The company does not use a universal “100% squat-proof” statement without an agreed and repeatable test protocol and supporting evidence.

Can buyers audit MOVEVOX production facilities?

Yes. MOVEVOX supports scheduled factory visits, technical audits and video factory reviews. Where a project requires an approved production facility or customer-defined audit, the actual production location and relevant order must remain aligned with the buyer's agreed factory requirements.

Can third-party inspection be arranged?

Yes. MOVEVOX accepts buyer-appointed QC and independent third-party inspection. Depending on the buyer's process, inspection results can become part of shipment-release requirements alongside internal quality controls, packing verification and the approved production standard.

How does MOVEVOX use satellite factories?

MOVEVOX combines its owned Yiwu factory with eight principal long-term satellite factories and selected specialist partners. These facilities are not represented as MOVEVOX-owned assets. Production standards, key materials, order information, PMC, quality control and final customer responsibility remain managed through MOVEVOX's controlled supply-chain system.

What testing evidence is currently available?

Current evidence includes a RoHS 2.0 test report and related compliance certificate for an identified black fitness yoga leggings sample, plus a REACH Annex XVII phthalates report for the identified black fabric sample. These documents apply only to their stated test samples and must not be presented as universal certification for all MOVEVOX products.
