Custom Sports Bra Manufacturer for Global Brand Programs
MOVEVOX supports established activewear brands with custom sports bra development through both Seamless and Cut & Sew manufacturing routes.
Projects can begin from a complete Tech Pack, incomplete technical file, legally usable reference garment, sketch, image or clearly defined concept. MOVEVOX can then support technical review, material coordination, pattern or Seamless structure/program development, sampling, Fit review, buyer comments, revision, approval, private-label execution and bulk-production preparation.
For professional product teams, “custom” can involve buyer-defined measurements, Fit, underband, straps, neckline, armhole, lining, padding or insert requirements, material direction, branding and packaging. The objective is to convert those requirements into an approved physical product and carry the approved standard into controlled commercial production.
Not Every Sports Bra Supplier Supports the Same Level of Customization
For professional buyers, “custom” can describe very different supplier models. The distinction matters because each model creates a different level of control over Fit, construction, materials and bulk repeatability.
| Supplier Model | Typical Scope | Level of Product Control |
|---|---|---|
| Stock Sports Bra Supplier | Existing Styles, Colors and Sizes with limited product modification | Low |
| Stock Product With Private Label | Existing product plus Logo, labels, hangtag or packaging | Brand customization more than product customization |
| Custom Sports Bra Manufacturing | Buyer-defined measurements, Fit, neckline, armhole, underband, straps, material, lining, padding / insert requirement and branding | Product specification is translated into a manufacturable garment |
| Development Manufacturing Partner | Technical Review → Material → Manufacturing Route → Sample → Fit Review → Revision → Approval → Bulk Handover | Structured development and production control |
Manufacturing-Led Custom Development
MOVEVOX supports manufacturing-led custom development through both Seamless and Cut & Sew routes, together with private-label execution and supply-chain coordination.
What Should a Buying Team Evaluate Before Approving a Custom Sports Bra Manufacturer?
Product Understanding
Can the supplier explain the relationship among Fit, support direction, underband, straps, material, lining, padding / inserts and construction rather than treating the sports bra as a generic garment?
Fit Development
Can the supplier work with measurement charts, Fit Samples, buyer comments, Size requirements and tolerances through an identifiable approval process?
Manufacturing Route
Can the supplier explain whether the product is more suitable for Seamless or Cut & Sew based on the actual construction requirement?
Technical Review
Can unresolved information be identified before it becomes a sampling or bulk-production assumption?
Sampling & Revision
Can the supplier manage V1 → Buyer Review → Revision → V2 → Approval rather than treating sampling as a one-time transaction?
Sample-to-Bulk Control
Can approved material, measurements, Fit, pattern / Seamless structure and branding be transferred into production controls?
Supplier Verification
Can the buyer verify company identity, factory, equipment, production, QC and relevant documentation before long-term approval?
Where Custom Sports Bras Commonly Go Wrong — and What Should Be Reviewed
A sports bra can meet the original drawing and still fail the buyer’s Fit or wearing requirement. Development risks should therefore be identified before bulk production.

Underband Rides Up
Possible contributing factors can include dimensions, material recovery, band construction and overall Fit balance. The underband should be reviewed together with the complete garment rather than as an isolated component.
Straps Slip or Carry Excessive Load
The buyer may need to review strap position, length, width, attachment and the relationship with neckline and back construction.
Neckline or Armhole Gaping
Potential factors can include pattern / structure, measurements, material behavior, strap position and Fit.
Coverage Is Too Low or Too Restrictive
Review neckline, side height, armhole, garment dimensions, stretch and Size against the intended Fit.
Padding or Inserts Move
Where removable padding or insert pockets are specified, the buyer may need to review pocket dimensions, insert dimensions, placement and garment Fit.
Sample and Bulk Feel Different
Potential causes may include changes in material, measurements, construction, production version, components or finishing.
Performance claims such as guaranteed high-impact support, quantified bounce reduction or medical compression require suitable product-specific evidence.
Define the Sports Bra Requirement Around the Intended Activity
Terms such as low, medium or high support can be useful commercial shorthand, but they should not replace a clear product specification or be treated as verified performance ratings without appropriate evidence.
| Requirement Direction | Typical Buyer Priorities | Development Focus |
|---|---|---|
| Lower-Movement / Studio | Comfort, freedom of movement, neckline balance, armhole Fit, soft material direction, strap comfort | Buyer-defined Fit and wearing requirement |
| General Training | Coverage, underband stability, strap structure, material recovery, Fit during movement | Fit + Material + Underband + Strap interaction |
| Higher-Movement Requirement | More demanding control over Fit, underband, straps, material and construction | Buyer-defined validation requirement and suitable evidence |
Activity label ≠ verified support rating. MOVEVOX can develop toward a buyer-defined product direction. Formal performance claims require suitable project-specific evidence.
Turn Your Sports Bra Measurement Chart Into a Production Standard
Custom sports bra development requires clearly defined points of measurement, measuring methods, Size direction and tolerances.

| POM Area | Control Focus |
|---|---|
| Underband | Position, garment condition, width / circumference reference and tolerance according to the buyer’s measurement system |
| Bust Area | Buyer-defined bust-related measurements connected with intended Fit and Size standard |
| Body Length | Front and back body-length measurements influencing overall balance |
| Neckline | Applicable width, depth and position according to the approved design |
| Armhole | Geometry affecting coverage, Fit and strap position |
| Straps | Length, width, attachment position and symmetry where applicable |
| Side & Back | Side height, back width and other relevant POMs according to product design |
| Padding / Insert Placement | Relevant pocket, insert and position reference where applicable |
| Grade Rules & Tolerance | Buyer-approved grading logic and agreed tolerance framework |
Validate the Custom Sports Bra on the Body — Not Only on the Measurement Table
Correct flat measurements do not automatically establish an approved Fit. Material behavior, body interaction and the buyer’s own Fit standard remain important.

Underband Position
Review whether the band sits at the intended position.
Bust Coverage
Confirm whether coverage matches the buyer’s approved product direction.
Neckline & Armhole
Review position, coverage, gaping, side coverage, strap relationship and material behavior.
Strap Position & Length
Review placement, symmetry, length and relationship with back construction.
Back Balance
Evaluate the back structure against the buyer’s Fit standard.
Padding / Insert Position
Where applicable, confirm the accepted placement and pocket relationship.
Movement Review
The buyer may evaluate the physical sample through its own relevant movement or wear scenario.
Buyer approval governs. Final Fit approval remains the buyer’s decision against its own brand standard.
Select Sports Bra Materials Around Fit, Recovery and Construction
A custom sports bra should not be defined only by fiber composition. Material selection needs to remain connected with the intended Fit, construction and commercial program.
| Decision Factor | Development Consideration |
|---|---|
| Intended Activity | Begin with the buyer-defined wearing scenario. |
| Stretch | Support dressing, body Fit and intended movement without being evaluated in isolation. |
| Recovery | Influence how the garment returns toward intended dimensions after extension. |
| Handfeel | Soft, smooth, firm or another buyer-approved reference direction. |
| Weight / Structure | Affect coverage, handling and construction compatibility. |
| Lining | Consider interaction with outer fabric, Fit, construction and garment feel where used. |
| Manufacturing Compatibility | Remain compatible with the intended Seamless or Cut & Sew route. |
| Commercial Feasibility | Account for availability, supplier MOQ, Color, lead time and repeat-order feasibility. |

Stretch Enables Movement — Recovery Helps Protect the Approved Fit
A fabric can stretch sufficiently and still fail to return toward the intended dimensions after repeated extension. Stretch and recovery should therefore be evaluated together.
Original Dimension
Begin from a defined material or garment reference.
Controlled Stretch
Extend the material in the relevant direction according to the agreed evaluation method.
Hold
Where required, maintain controlled extension for an agreed period.
Release
Remove the applied extension.
Recovery
Observe or measure how the material returns toward its original reference.
Repeat
Repeated cycles may be useful where the project requires a more representative evaluation.
Material behavior can affect underband stability, overall Fit, garment dimensions and repeated wearing feel.
Material + Pattern / Seamless Structure + Garment Dimensions + Fit Sample should be considered together. Quantified recovery or compression claims require supporting evidence.

Develop Custom Seamless Sports Bras Through Yarn, Program and Garment Structure
MOVEVOX currently operates 28 Italian Santoni Seamless knitting machines at its Yiwu core manufacturing base. The Seamless route can be evaluated where the product structure is technically suitable.

Yarn Direction
The project can begin with a buyer-defined or reviewed yarn / material direction.
Seamless Structure / Program
The product requirement is translated into the applicable Seamless development structure/program.
Garment Dimensions
Relevant garment dimensions remain part of development and Fit review.
Integrated Lower-Band Direction
Where technically suitable, the Seamless route can evaluate integrated structural direction around the lower garment area according to the buyer’s design.
Rib / Texture / Mesh
Project-defined rib, texture or mesh structures can be evaluated where technically suitable. Any support, ventilation or compression claim requires appropriate evidence.
Physical Sample & Approval
The knitted product remains subject to measurement, Fit, buyer comments and revision before the accepted development version becomes part of the production reference.
Use Cut & Sew for Pattern-Led Custom Sports Bra Construction
Cut & Sew manufacturing is suitable for sports bras that depend on defined patterns, panels, lining, straps, elastic components or other component-led construction.
Outer Material
Confirm the buyer-approved fabric or material direction.
Pattern Engineering
The pattern translates the product requirement into neckline, armhole, body shape, back structure, coverage and other relevant garment geometry.
Cutting
Cut pieces should remain identifiable by the applicable Style × Color × Size requirements.
Underband
Where the product uses a separate band or elastic structure, the relevant dimensions and construction should be controlled against the approved product.
Straps
Review width, length, placement and attachment according to the buyer’s specification.
Lining
Where used, lining should remain connected to the approved material, pattern and Fit.
Padding / Insert Requirement
Where removable padding, insert pockets or buyer-specified components are required, feasibility should be reviewed as part of the actual project.
MOVEVOX does not currently claim proprietary in-house bra moulding or proprietary cup-moulding technology without verified evidence.

Resolve Custom Sports Bra Technical Questions Before Sampling
Incomplete information should be identified before it becomes an undocumented sampling or production assumption.
Activity / Support Direction
Clarify the intended product use and buyer-defined support direction.
Measurements
Review bust, underband, body length, neckline, armhole, straps and relevant side / back measurements.
Material & Lining
Confirm the current direction for fabric, yarn where applicable, lining, stretch, recovery and Color.
Underband
Clarify position, dimensions, material, construction and Fit direction.
Straps
Clarify width, length, position and construction where applicable.
Padding / Inserts
Where required, clarify the buyer-defined requirement, insert dimensions, pocket and placement according to actual project feasibility.
Branding
Review Logo, labels, placement and packaging.

From Custom Sports Bra Requirement to a Manufacturable Product
MOVEVOX supports product development as a controlled translation process between the buyer’s requirement and an approved physical garment.

Technical Review
Resolve measurements, material, Fit, construction, underband, straps, padding requirement, branding and open questions.
Material Selection
Coordinate the material direction required for the current development.
Manufacturing Route
Confirm Seamless or Cut & Sew based on the approved construction requirement.
Pattern / Seamless Structure
Create the applicable manufacturable technical route.
Development Sample
Produce the first physical interpretation.
Fit Review
The buyer evaluates the sample against its own measurements, Fit and product requirement.
Revision
Buyer comments are converted into identifiable technical changes.
Approval
The accepted version moves into bulk-production preparation.

Use Sampling as a Controlled Development Gate
A custom sports bra sample should confirm whether the current material, construction, measurements and Fit correctly represent the buyer’s requirement.

Requirement Review → Sample V1
Begin with the current Tech Pack, measurements, material, support direction, construction, Size and branding. Produce the first physical interpretation of the reviewed specification.

Internal Review → Buyer Fit Review → Comments
MOVEVOX can review applicable measurements, visible construction, workmanship and obvious deviations before buyer submission. The buyer then evaluates underband, coverage, neckline, armhole, straps, back balance, relevant padding position and overall Fit.

Revision → V2 → Additional Validation → Approval
The applicable pattern, Seamless development information, measurements and construction are updated as required. Further Fit Samples, Size Set, wear evaluation, PP sample or third-party testing can be considered where the buyer requires them.
Standard sample development is typically approximately 5–10 working days after key details are confirmed. Actual timing depends on material, construction, Color and project complexity.
Approve the Critical Sports Bra Details Before Bulk Release
Bulk production should not begin while key product, Fit or branding information remains unresolved.
| Approval Area | What Must Be Confirmed | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Style | Correct product and current development version | Approved / Revision Required / Pending Buyer Confirmation |
| Material | Outer material, lining where applicable, Color and relevant components | Approved / Revision Required / Pending Buyer Confirmation |
| Measurements | Critical POMs, measuring methods, tolerances and Size direction | Approved / Revision Required / Pending Buyer Confirmation |
| Fit | Buyer-accepted physical Fit | Approved / Revision Required / Pending Buyer Confirmation |
| Underband | Position, dimensions, material and construction | Approved / Revision Required / Pending Buyer Confirmation |
| Straps | Width, length, placement and attachment where applicable | Approved / Revision Required / Pending Buyer Confirmation |
| Neckline & Armhole | Accepted geometry and Fit | Approved / Revision Required / Pending Buyer Confirmation |
| Construction | Applicable pattern, seams, panels, Seamless structures and finishing | Approved / Revision Required / Pending Buyer Confirmation |
| Padding / Inserts | Insert requirement, position and pocket construction where applicable | Approved / Revision Required / Pending Buyer Confirmation |
| Branding | Logo, labels, placement and artwork version | Approved / Revision Required / Pending Buyer Confirmation |
| Packaging | Buyer-specific packing standard | Approved / Revision Required / Pending Buyer Confirmation |

Transfer the Approved Custom Sports Bra Into a Controlled Bulk Standard
An approved sample becomes commercially useful only when the accepted product information is transferred into production without uncontrolled changes.
Freeze the Accepted Standard
- Approved physical sample
- Final measurements, methods and tolerances
- Material reference
- Pattern / Seamless development version
- Underband and strap requirements
- Padding / insert requirement where applicable
- Branding artwork and packaging specification
Carry the Standard Into Bulk
- Released production information
- Correct material and component identity
- First Article review
- Bulk production
- Inline QC
- Finished-garment inspection
- Branding and packaging checks
Objective: controlled production against approved standards and tolerances, rather than a claim that every bulk garment is “100% identical” to one physical sample.

Connect the Approved Sports Bra With Your Private Label System
Product customization and branding customization are related but different. Branding should be applied only after the correct product version is clearly identified.
Product
Approved material, measurements, Fit, construction and Color
Logo & Labels
Logo, main label, Size label and care label
Retail Identity
Hangtag, barcode / QR and SKU mapping
Individual Packaging
Polybags, stickers, folding and custom packaging
Shipment Identity
Carton marks and packed-goods information
Control reference: Style × Color × Size × Version.

Control Style, Color, Size and Packaging Accuracy Across a Custom Sports Bra Program
A technically approved sports bra can still become a commercial order problem if the wrong label, Size, QR code or packaging is attached to the correct garment.
| Order-Control Area | Required Link |
|---|---|
| Style Identification | Each order remains connected to a clearly identified Style and current version. |
| Color | Different Colors remain separated and linked to the correct approved reference. |
| Size | Garment, labels, barcode / QR and packaging use the correct Size information. |
| Barcode / QR Mapping | Commercial code ↔ Style × Color × Size. |
| Packaging | Packing specification remains connected to the correct SKU. |
| Packing Confirmation | Order-management and packing checks reduce mismatch risk before shipment. |

Understand the Effective MOQ Behind a Custom Sports Bra Program
The garment MOQ is only one part of the project minimum. Materials, Color, components and branding can create separate commercial requirements.
| Requirement | MOVEVOX Reference | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Seamless Custom Garment | Approx. 100 pcs / Style | Subject to actual yarn, Color and product requirements |
| Cut & Sew Custom Garment | Approx. 150 pcs / Style | Subject to actual fabric, construction and component requirements |
| Custom Color / Dyeing | Project-specific | Custom dyeing can require higher upstream material quantities |
| Custom Dyeing Evaluation Reference | Often approx. 400–600 pcs | Depends on material, dye lot and actual supplier / process conditions |
| Fabric / Yarn | Supplier-specific | Custom material requirements may create separate minimums |
| Components | Project-specific | Elastic, padding / inserts, labels and other trims may have separate minimums |
| Branding & Packaging | Project-specific | Logo, labels and custom packaging may involve independent process minimums |
Garment MOQ ≠ Effective Project MOQ.
Ready to Review Your Custom Sports Bra Program?
If your team already has a Tech Pack, measurement chart, Fit comments, approved or legally usable reference garment, material requirement, support direction or private-label artwork, MOVEVOX can use that information to begin an initial manufacturing review.

Separate Buyer-Defined Product Requirements From Verified Performance Claims
Custom sports bra development can involve support, movement and material requirements, but formal product claims should remain connected to suitable product-specific evidence.
Development Direction
MOVEVOX can work toward buyer-defined directions involving intended activity, Fit, coverage, material, underband, straps and construction through the development and sampling process.
Evidence Requirement
Claims such as high-impact performance, measured bounce reduction, defined compression or other quantified support results require suitable evidence for the actual product and test method.
Sample-Specific Activewear Test Evidence
MOVEVOX currently holds third-party test evidence for a submitted black sample identified as fitness yoga leggings and for black fabric taken from that submitted sample.
- RoHS Certificate No. TST20250405148EC
- RoHS 2.0 Test Report No. TST20250405148E
- Report No. TST20250405150E relating to phthalates under REACH Annex XVII Entry 51 & 52 for black fabric from that submitted leggings sample
These reports are not Sports Bra test reports, are not company-wide certifications and do not establish that every MOVEVOX garment automatically meets the same test scope.
Where required, testing can be discussed according to the actual product, material, target market and buyer protocol.
