BUYER FIT

Private Label Fitness Apparel Built for Ongoing Brand Programs

More Than a Single-Product Manufacturing Request

Fitness apparel sourcing often involves multiple products, materials, fit standards, colors, branding components and SKU structures. MOVEVOX supports programs that may include leggings, sports bras, shorts, tanks, T-shirts, long sleeves, coordinated sets and other reviewed activewear categories.

The manufacturing route is selected according to the actual product. Body-fitting engineered products may be reviewed for Seamless manufacturing, while styles requiring defined panels, pockets, zippers, multiple materials or specific pattern construction may be more appropriate for Cut & Sew.

MOVEVOX multi-category private label fitness apparel collection

Designed for Brands Managing Development and Repeat Supply

MOVEVOX is most relevant where the buyer needs more than a ready-stock garment with a logo. Projects can involve product development, sample revision, private label components, quality standards, bulk production and repeat-order planning.

The objective is to convert the buyer's specifications into an approved production standard that can be followed across manufacturing, QC, branding and packing.

Fitness apparel product category expansion

Category Expansion

Develop additional leggings, bras, shorts, tops or sets without assuming every product should follow the same material or manufacturing route.

Repeat order fitness apparel packing and quality control

Repeat-Order Programs

Use approved product, material, branding and packaging standards as the reference point for subsequent production, while reconfirming changes that affect the order.

PRIVATE LABEL BUYERS

What Private Label Fitness Apparel Buyers Actually Need

Product Control

A private label program starts with the garment itself: structure, fit, measurements, material, color and approved workmanship.

Brand Control

Logo method, position, size, main label, care label, size label, woven branding and hangtag requirements must be connected to the approved product.

SKU Control

Colors, sizes, barcodes, SKU labels and packaging versions must correspond to the correct garment before packing and shipment.

Commercial Control

MOQ, sample cost, material requirements, special branding, packaging and order structure all affect the commercial feasibility of a project.

Quality Control

The approved standard must remain connected to first-article checks, in-line inspection, measurement, final inspection and packing release.

Repeatability

A repeat order should reference the current approved version rather than relying on memory or informal instructions.

PROCUREMENT RISK

Control the Risks Behind a Multi-Category Fitness Apparel Program

RISK SIGNALS

Where Fitness Apparel Programs Can Lose Control

  1. Sample-to-Bulk Drift

The approved sample is not converted into clear production standards.

  2. Wrong Manufacturing Route

Seamless or Cut & Sew is selected without considering the actual product structure.

  3. Fit Inconsistency

Measurements, pattern or size logic are not controlled through revisions.

  4. Material or Color Variation

Material lot, dye lot or approved physical standard is unclear.

  5. Branding Errors

Artwork, logo, label or packaging versions are mixed during execution.

  6. Scaling Risk

Larger orders are allocated without consistent technical and QC control.

CONTROL POINTS

Convert Each Risk Into a Defined Control

  1. Lock the Approved Standard

Keep relevant specifications, approved references and bulk release information connected.

  2. Review Construction First

Select the manufacturing route after reviewing the actual garment structure.

  3. Use Measurable Fit References

Control POM, measurements, revisions and the approved fit standard.

  4. Identify Material and Color Standards

Confirm relevant material, color and lot requirements before bulk execution.

  5. Control Brand Versions by SKU

Connect approved logo, label, artwork and packaging information to the correct product.

  6. Keep Technical and QC Control Centralized

Use coordinated project information, PMC and QC across approved production resources.

A lower unit price cannot compensate for incorrect fit, mixed SKUs, packaging errors, unapproved material changes or late quality discoveries. Supplier evaluation therefore needs to consider the complete execution path from development input to final release.

PRIVATE LABEL SYSTEM

Private Label Is More Than Adding a Logo

A complete private label program connects the approved garment with its material, color, branding, labels and packaging rather than treating each component as an independent add-on.

MOVEVOX private label fitness apparel garment logo labels color swatches and packaging
01

Product & Fit

Define the garment structure, measurement direction, size requirements and approved sample standard before treating branding as a finished-product decision.

02

Fabric & Yarn

Select material direction according to the product structure, desired handfeel, stretch, recovery and buyer requirements. Seamless and Cut & Sew products may require different material approaches.

03

Color

Standard colors, custom colors and material-dependent dye requirements should be assessed before bulk. Custom dyeing may create separate material-level MOQ requirements.

04

Logo

MOVEVOX supports methods including screen printing, heat transfer, silicone, embroidery, jacquard and woven branding, subject to the garment, material, artwork and supplier requirements.

05

Labels

Main labels, care labels, size labels, woven labels and other project-specific identifiers can be coordinated according to approved artwork and SKU information.

06

Packaging

Polybag, zipper bag, SKU label, barcode, hangtag, carton mark and other packaging requirements can be incorporated into the project specification.

COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT

Develop the Collection as a System, Not as Isolated SKUs

01

SKU Architecture

Define which products belong in the program and identify which styles need Seamless, Cut & Sew or separate technical review.

A collection may include leggings, bras, shorts and tops, but each SKU still requires its own fit, construction and production standard.

Fitness apparel collection SKU architecture
02

Material Platform

Where suitable, related products can be reviewed around shared fabric, yarn or material directions to improve collection consistency and simplify development.

Material suitability still needs to be confirmed at product level; the same fabric is not automatically appropriate for every garment.

Fitness apparel shared fabric and yarn platform
03

Color System

Shared color direction can help coordinate a collection, while actual color execution depends on material base, dye route and approved physical standard.

Custom colors may also create separate dye-lot MOQ considerations.

Private label fitness apparel color swatch system
04

Brand Execution

Logo, labels, hangtags, barcode logic and packaging can be coordinated across the collection, while remaining mapped to the correct SKU, color and size.

Private label fitness apparel brand execution and packaging
ONE ACCOUNTABLE INTERFACE

One Accountable Interface Across Multiple Manufacturing Requirements

Without Central Coordination

A fitness apparel program can require coordination across product development, material suppliers, Seamless production, Cut & Sew production, logo suppliers, labels, packaging and quality inspection.

When these activities operate independently, the buyer may need to resolve conflicting versions, incomplete handovers or unclear responsibility.

Fragmented fitness apparel supply chain coordination

With MOVEVOX Project Coordination

MOVEVOX uses its Yiwu core manufacturing base together with controlled satellite or specialized production resources where appropriate.

Technical documents, material requirements, production planning, QC and final project accountability remain coordinated through MOVEVOX. External production resources should not be represented as MOVEVOX-owned factories.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

From Product Input to an Approved Bulk-Ready Standard

01

Project Brief

Start from a Tech Pack, legal reference sample, sketch, image or sufficiently clear product concept, together with quantity, market and customization information.

02

Technical Review

Review structure, measurements, manufacturing route, material direction, branding requirements and missing technical information.

03

Material Direction

Match material or yarn options to the product construction and development target. Custom color or special material requirements may need separate commercial evaluation.

04

Pattern or Seamless Program

Cut & Sew styles enter pattern and construction development; Seamless styles enter knitting-program and structural development.

05

Development Sample

Produce a physical sample for product, fit, material, workmanship and branding review. Standard sampling typically takes approximately 5–10 working days after the required development information is confirmed.

06

Revision

Convert buyer comments into specific measurement, construction, material or brand-related updates.

07

Approval Standard

Confirm the relevant product, material, color, measurement, logo, label and packaging information needed for bulk.

08

Bulk Handover

Transfer approved information into production planning, first-article control, in-line QC and final release.

FIT ENGINEERING

Turn Fit Requirements Into a Measurable Production Standard

Cut & Sew Pattern Engineering

A Cut & Sew project can begin with the customer's Tech Pack, measurement chart, legal reference sample or defined target fit.

MOVEVOX reviews measurements, proportions and construction before developing or revising the pattern. The process can include sample measurement, fit comments, pattern revision and approval before the production pattern is locked.

MOVEVOX's development team includes two professional pattern-making roles, with core technical personnel having approximately 8–10 years of pattern experience.

MOVEVOX activewear pattern making and POM measurement development

Seamless Fit Requires a Different Technical Route

Seamless products are not developed through conventional paper patterns alone. Size, circumference, garment length, knit structure, stretch behavior, rib zones and body-mapped construction need to be translated into the knitting program and sample.

For either manufacturing route, the objective is the same: move from an informal fit expectation to an approved standard that can be measured and reviewed during bulk production.

MOVEVOX seamless activewear knitting structure and fit development
FIT BY ACTIVITY

Define Fitness Apparel Fit Around the Intended Activity

Activity Direction Fit Questions to Review
Yoga Does the garment allow the intended range of movement while maintaining waistband and coverage requirements?
Gym / Training How should the fit behave during bending, loaded movement and repeated stretch?
Running Are garment security, leg or sleeve movement, friction points and product stability appropriate for the design?
Pilates / Studio Does the pattern or knit structure support controlled movement and the intended silhouette?
Athleisure Is the target fit driven primarily by comfort, silhouette, layering or active use?

Activity labels alone do not prove performance. The buyer's intended use should be translated into measurable fit and product requirements, then checked through physical samples and the agreed validation process.

FABRIC & MATERIAL ENGINEERING

Select Materials by Product Outcome, Not Composition Alone

Nylon spandex activewear fabric swatch

Nylon / Spandex Directions

Often reviewed for close-fitting activewear where handfeel, stretch, recovery and garment structure are important. Final suitability depends on the actual fabric specification and product.

Polyester spandex fitness apparel fabric swatch

Polyester / Spandex Directions

Can be considered for selected fitness and training products according to required handfeel, structure, print or performance expectations.

Seamless activewear yarn and knitted structures

Seamless Yarn Systems

Seamless products require yarn and knit-structure decisions to be evaluated together because rib, mesh, jacquard and body-mapped zones affect the finished garment.

Textured ribbed fitness apparel fabric structure

Textured, Ribbed and Surface Structures

Visual texture can change stretch, opacity, handfeel and garment behavior. Approval should be based on the physical material or sample rather than appearance alone.

Relevant factors can include composition, weight, handfeel, stretch, recovery, opacity, surface structure, color route and compatibility with logo or garment construction. Material selection should therefore remain connected to product development and sample approval.

PRODUCT ENGINEERING

Different Fitness Apparel Products Require Different Technical Decisions

Product Key Development Questions
Leggings Waistband stability, opacity under movement, stretch/recovery, rise, inseam and seam or knit-zone placement
Sports Bras Coverage, underband, strap position, cup/pad construction and intended support direction
Biker Shorts Waist stability, inseam, leg opening, stretch and movement
Training Shorts Pattern freedom, mobility, pocket or trim requirements where applicable
Tops Shoulder and arm mobility, neckline, garment length, handfeel and construction
Seamless Products Knit zones, rib structure, mesh, stretch distribution, recovery and size logic

These are development and validation questions, not automatic performance claims. The approved product standard should define what needs to be checked during sampling and bulk production.

FULL PRIVATE LABEL SYSTEM

Connect Every Brand Component to the Correct Fitness Apparel SKU

MOVEVOX complete private label fitness apparel garment branding labels barcode and packaging system
PRODUCT BASELINE

Garment Standard

Approved product, measurement, material, color and workmanship.

01

Logo

Screen print, heat transfer, silicone, embroidery, jacquard or woven branding according to the project.

02

Garment Labels

Main label, care label, size label or other agreed identification components.

03

Hangtag

Approved artwork, attachment method and version.

04

SKU / Barcode

Correct style, color and size information needs to correspond to the correct garment.

05

Individual Packaging

Polybag, zipper bag or other approved project packaging.

06

Outer Packaging

Carton specification, carton marks and packing quantities according to the order requirements.

Version Control

Artwork and packaging changes need to be released against the correct production version rather than handled informally.

SAMPLE DEVELOPMENT

Sampling Is an Approval Process, Not a Showpiece

A standard sample is typically developed in approximately 5–10 working days after the required development details are confirmed. Complex structures, custom materials, special branding and multiple revisions can change the timing.

MOQ & COMMERCIAL FEASIBILITY

Understand the MOQ Behind a Private Label Fitness Apparel Program

Requirement Typical MOVEVOX Reference What Can Change It
Seamless Garment Approx. 100 pcs per style Yarn, structure, color, size allocation and production setup
Cut & Sew Garment Approx. 150 pcs per style Fabric, construction, color, trims and order structure
Custom Color Often evaluated around 400–600 pcs level Material supplier and dye-lot requirements
Logo Project dependent Method, artwork, mold/tooling and logo supplier MOQ
Labels Project dependent Material, artwork, label type and supplier MOQ
Packaging Project dependent Bag type, printing, quantity and packaging supplier MOQ

The effective MOQ of a private label order is not always the garment MOQ. Material, custom dyeing, logo, labels, packaging, testing and the number of SKUs can create separate commercial thresholds.

Final MOQ should therefore be confirmed after reviewing the specific product, color, size, material and branding structure.

ANONYMOUS PRIVATE LABEL CASE

Anonymous Private Label Project: From Brand Execution to Repeat Order

Project Requirement

A European private label customer required customized activewear with branded logo, wash label, hangtag and packaging rather than an unbranded garment-only order.

Brand Execution

The project included a silicone-logo direction and customized packaging, including a frosted zipper-bag direction. Branding components needed to be coordinated with the garment before packing.

Bulk Production

The first recorded bulk order was approximately 1,200 pieces. Production-image and video updates were used during execution, and the internal project record states that individual inspection was conducted before packing.

Shipping

The project used a combination of air and sea transportation according to the commercial shipment arrangement.

Repeat Order

Before the first shipment had physically arrived, the customer placed another recorded order of approximately 1,200 pieces. The relationship subsequently continued with additional product selection and repeat purchasing.

This case demonstrates one documented path from private label customization into repeat purchasing. It should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every customer or project will follow the same commercial outcome.

FAQ

Private Label Fitness Apparel Manufacturer FAQs

Is MOVEVOX a manufacturer or a trading company?

MOVEVOX is a Yiwu-based private label activewear manufacturing and supply-chain partner operated by Yiwu Chenjin Import And Export Co., Ltd. It combines a core manufacturing base with controlled satellite or specialized production resources where appropriate, while MOVEVOX coordinates the customer project and final accountability.

Can MOVEVOX manufacture both Seamless and Cut & Sew fitness apparel?

Yes. MOVEVOX has both manufacturing routes. The appropriate route depends on garment construction, fit, material, panel structure, pockets, zippers, knit zones and other technical requirements.

What fitness apparel products can MOVEVOX manufacture?

Core and regular categories include leggings, sports bras, biker or training shorts, tanks, T-shirts, long sleeves, fitness sets and seamless activewear. Other lightweight or related activewear categories are reviewed according to project fit.

Can you work from our Tech Pack?

Yes. MOVEVOX can develop from a buyer Tech Pack. Development can also begin from a legal reference sample, sketch, image or sufficiently clear concept where the buyer does not yet have a complete Tech Pack.

How long does sample development take?

Standard sample development is typically approximately 5–10 working days after the required development details are confirmed. Complex products, special materials, custom branding or revisions can extend the timeline.

What is the typical MOQ?

A typical reference is approximately 100 pieces per style for Seamless and approximately 150 pieces per style for Cut & Sew. The actual MOQ depends on material, color, SKU structure, logo, packaging and manufacturing requirements.

Why can a custom color require a higher MOQ?

Custom colors can be driven by material or dye-lot requirements rather than the garment assembly quantity alone. MOVEVOX typically evaluates custom color projects around the 400–600 piece level depending on material and dye requirements.

Can you customize our fabric or yarn?

Material and yarn development can be reviewed according to product, specification, quantity and supplier feasibility. Custom developments can create separate MOQ, lead-time or testing requirements.

Can you customize logos, labels and packaging?

Yes. MOVEVOX supports multiple logo methods as well as main labels, care labels, size labels, hangtags, SKU or barcode labels and different packaging directions. Supplier MOQ, tooling and lead time may apply to individual components.

How do you control sample-to-bulk consistency?

Bulk production should reference the current approved product standard. First-article, in-line, measurement, final and packing checks can then be applied according to the project requirements.

Can our team visit or audit the factory?

Yes. MOVEVOX can support scheduled factory visits, technical review, remote video review and agreed third-party inspection. Support for an audit does not mean MOVEVOX claims an external certification that is not documented.

Can you handle larger repeat orders?

MOVEVOX combines the core manufacturing base with a controlled production network to support scaling. Typical single orders can range approximately from 300 to 50,000 pieces, while actual capacity and delivery planning depend on product mix, process, materials and timing.

What information should we send for an RFQ?

Provide the available product specification or reference, estimated quantity, SKU count, colors, size range, fabric direction, logo and packaging requirements, target market and expected delivery or launch timing. A Tech Pack provides the most precise technical starting point, but it is not mandatory to begin a review.
